Hey H.H. = )
1. I might just do that - it does seem to be going home well to others on the boards as well - and since it's supposed to be a response to MoS which I didn't like, then I can see myself enjoying that. Glad to hear there's still depth to Millar.
2. I believe I read some story about it on Bleedingcool years ago - and then yesterday I saw the documentary "Grant Morrison - talking with gods." In it, at around the 59 minute mark, he mentions: "People were revealing themselves to be bastards. And my best friend was splitting off from me and insulting me in the Scottish Press, and saying horrible things about me". I put two and two together from there, and dug up some of the old articles.

You know, with all of this in mind, I think I really want to see Millar on Superman now! Mainly because I can tell that I'm slipping into that whole my-comic-creator-is-better-than-yours -secterism here! I need to challenge myself away from that - it's childish.
I'm sure Millar could do an awesome job - I do think he should be given his own continuity to do it though - because then I think we'd really see what he would do- what kind of Superman he's been thinking of for all these years.
You know... I think there might actually be something to what you're saying... I can actually sort of see that. Even though New-52 brought a platform for Morrison to talk about social issues and outreach and capitalism and socialism and how they both relate to Superman - I can still see him not being a 100% on board this.
Mainly because his All-Star Superman is so incredibly different - that's Silver Age Earth-1 Superman. But New-52... he's Earth-2 Golden Age Superman, which was a very, very different character from Earth-1 Supes.
The destiny of Earth-2 Superman isn't necessarily to become what Morrison envisions: a God in the sun. Earth-2 would end up as a different type of god... something else. Maybe a bit more like the ending of Joe Keatinge's "Strange Visitor" -story in Adventures of Superman.
Yeah... I could see that.
