Default Dark Knight Returns 30th anniversary ink problems

I got a copy of the Dark Knight Returns 30th anniversary edition from Amazon and on the page where the kids are dead near the cotton candy stand, the narration box letters are faded as if the black ink was smeared of amd it is the narration boxes such as "a mother calls to her kid". Is this just my copy or is this a reoccurring problem?

I've seen with some Scott Snyder Batman trades, but I didn't buy this Anniv edition. I'd bet it's a trade by trade kinda recurring problem, not in all the trades, but many.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
