That's nothing. DC closed its Superman franchise in the 90's when they killed off that character.

They didn't exactly close it; more like they had some screens up while they did a bit of remodeling. They were still open for business; just without the Big Guy, for a few issues. Well, sort of; since the whole Reign of the Superman was designed to have you guessing if one of the four was the true Superman or if the real one would turn up later.

Not just Amadeus, but Jen is only down, not out - she's literally waiting in the wings right now with a totally suped up, edgy redesign.

At the time, there was more than a bit of uncertainty. Characters hadn't yet started to come back from the dead quite so often.

The previous version of this book did more to destroy the "Hulk Franchise" than anything in the Cho series.

Remember Banner's Doc Hulk persona fought and depowered Skarr-Son of Hulk, Red She Hulk and A-Bomb.

Certainly Skarr and Red are the second and third places you would look for franchise mates.
