Now that Ted Kord is on his way back, primarily as a mentor to Jaime Reyes; I was wondering if someone could list Ted's greatest battles and victories when he was the Blue Beetle.
In particular, I'm looking for a story where, while recovering in a JLA/JLI hospital bed, he still helped defeat a very nasty supervillain.
Any ideas, please?

I'd have to say his "chess game" with the Weapons Master in Justice League #61-62 are probably among the best battles for Ted Kord. All cunning and guile -- a really interesting show of intellect for him. Loved it.

Don't remember the issue, but Ted vs Eclipso in the JLI HQ during Eclipso: The Darkness Within crossover.
On one side, someone wearing a beetle-themed costume with a beetle-themed VTOL, martial arts training and gadgets, just a MAN! (*PUNCH!*).
On the other, the previous Wrath of God that got fired for being too evil and hardcore.
