Or atleast do Both: krakoa stuff and more traditional X-Men shenanigans.
My unpopular opinion: the Xmen live action should be on 12 episode seasons instead of the 2 hour movie every 2-3 years.
And the live action tv can be enhanced by the most expensive/advanced animated series.
I can agree on that. Krakoa can remain, acting as mutantkind’s central hub though I’d rather not have everyone huddled up together there. Rather, it remains as their nation and a safe haven for mutantkind but different factions of mutantkind live and function out in the world rather than everything functioning on Krakoa.
I hope the resurrection protocol changes or is gone when Hickman's done. I get that it's so the mutants aren't just killed off for misery porn, but otherwise for weaker writers it'll be too tempting during a big event to just have the new baddie rip the X-Men apart to make them look tough, just because they can pop up back to life. Maybe out a cap on the number of times they can be revived (10?), so that way there's at least a little semblance of narrative tension.
I wonder if having resurrection available is making the X-Men careless or if it doesn't matter so they figure we may as well kill them now that we don't have to worry about plot armor. I mean, shouldn't there be a threshold to what will/would kill them?
Does it need doing?
Yes.
Then it will be done.
Yeah. Marvel has always killed characters for shock value or to make things seem important. The fact that they had to come up with a convoluted way to bring them back later was one of the worst parts of that, and now that's been fixed.
So now having a shock death every few issues is better?
