    Same thing with legacy characters.

Jott is garbage and it was never about the characters' personalities. "She died and then he cried about it" isn't romantic. No matter how many times they repeat it. "Remember that time she died but he was still psychically linked to her?"
    Trash.

The X-Men and their concepts should be separate from the Avengers in an entirely different line of comics. The existence of infinite other ways to become super is detrimental to the main theme of humans fearing replacement by more evolved humans.

X-Men is generally at its worst when it isn't focused on the women. I don't even find the dudes all that compelling on their own, now that I think about it. For instance, Cable is a neat concept that I am aware of, but put him at the center of things without Hope (his best reason for existing) and I don't care.

Villanizing Xavier is super-lazy, super-edgy nonsense. Oh look. You deconstructed the X-Men's patron saint. Aren't you clever.
I agree that X-mythos works better more separate from the wider MU

I also agree the X-women tend to be the most interesting

I disagree with your other points

    Agree.

On the fence about this. While I really enjoy the interaction between these super groups (when they’re not pointlessly fighting each other), it does seem grossly inconsistent for humans to laud the Avengers and hate the X-men. Bitten by a radioactive spider? “We love you!” Bitten by puberty? “You’re a monster!”

Yes. Absolutely. 100% true. The women are (and long have been) the best part of the X-men.

    We have a winner lol

I guess one for me. I don't mind Greg Land. The porn faces are bad. But I still prefer him to some other artists' work i've seen. Like Ken Lashley or the art in generation X where everyone has super long faces, overbites, and 100 teeth.

Hah, yeah doesn't get any more unpopular than that..

What DO X fans like, though? I haven't heard mostly good things about any run other than Claremont and... Remender's X Force maybe? It really does seem like x fans don't like anything sometimes.

Remender X Force, and Kyle Yost X-Force, were both liked
Carey's X-Men Legacy was liked too (except for some people who hate the Rogue Magneto ship)
    PAD's X-Factor was liked
Gillen's Uncanny XMen was liked too

Obviously you will never like everything. I didnt like how Diamond Lil died in Necrosha, or PAD making Guido kill Tier (the son of Rahne).
After AvX (or Schism), the quality of the books declined greatly, because Marvel didnt have a plan for the mutants once the M Day crisis was over. in my opinion.

The X-Men are too seperate from the rest of the Marvel Universe.

It's ALL unpopular. We're X-fans after all, everything is supposedly unpopular to us.

I have to agree with a majority of this awesome post. I don't necessarily feel like Xavier has been demonized as opposed to being viewed in a different light. There are times where Professor X comes across as having an even greater god complex than Magneto or Storm.

I agree with this as well, most of my favorite mutants are women
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
    DC: Currently figuring that out
    Marvel: Read above
    Image: Killadelphia, Nightmare Blog
Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8

Scott abandoned his wife and son for Jean the first time she resurrected.
Scott and Jean are bad for each other. She makes him a repressed man, a shadow of what he was in the 2000s after Morrison, and he makes her insecure about her powers like "Jean, NO, you are going PHOENIX again!"
Jean is bland, evil, adulterous monster who does nothing but die and come back. But it's all she does. She tries to fool around behind Scott's back and dies. It's the only two things she has ever done.
    Rant
Jean really is the worst character in Marvel, isn't she?
    Scemma forever Triangle never.
Scott needs an alpha female like Bettsy.
What woman wouldn't be attracted to Scott? He's 100% alpha male who tells the Avengers to go f*#& themselves.
I want cyclops back free from any ginger women to be his own man.
    Logically..
TeenClops should have lusted for Emma & Cuckoos. Especially Stepford Cuckoos! They're teenage triplet clones of his hottest ex, how could he not be?
    End of rant

Oh yeah, PAD's X Factor, forgot about that one. People didn't hate that. Gillen's run seemed to get mixed reviews in my circles, but I loved it.
