I wonder what setting this will be in. Probably a generic one.

Another one? A big(ger) budget reboot? Didn't anyone learn from Warcraft?

Warcraft did for me what I expected. Not more, not less. There could have been better human actors. It was no 7th Son. Now, whom do I have to kill/sleep with for a Dragonlance movie?

Sigh. Didn't someone try to launch this in 2000 with Jeremy Irons for some of the worst reviews of the year? I still haven't seen that flick and doubt I'll ever bother to.

Now, were this version based on the '80s cartoon series... well, I can see an appeal.

Why do I feel like the only way to really do a Dungeons & Dragons movie is to have one that occasionally cuts away from the story to a bunch of geeks sitting around a table, rolling dice, eating cheetos and arguing about what just happened in the story?

It's being directed by the guy that did Goosebumps, I could see it being a lot like the '80s cartoon.
