Avengers Standoff?

Any thoughts on this? The HC is out this week and i haven't read anything post Secret Wars. Worth a buy?

Only if you are interested with the current Captain America books. However it is a bit expensive even if you do, the HC includes almost a dozen of very "optional" tie in. Only the parts written by Nick Spencer are worth reading.

I liked the ANAD Avengers tie-in, loved the New Avengers tie-in, and thought the Illuminati tie-in was underrated. So I'd certainly recommend it. Whether you get it in HC is up to you, but it's an above average event.

Thanks guys. Yeah i pretty much only by hc's anymore. 400+ pages for $25 isn't bad if the story is entertaining. I just have so much other stuff to read, it will be easy to pass on, expecially after the quality of the SW hc.

I'd still say it's worth a read. The premise is fun enough and I found it to be a good stand alone story. I haven't read any of the tie-ins, so those could add to the event well as well.
