Cable solo, Cable team-up or Cable lead team. Down for any of those. There's certainly going to be some slight increase in interest of the character (thanks to Deadpool after-credits and Deadpool 2 speculation) so it makes sense to bump him up from side-character status.
I'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming UA arc where the mutants strike out on their own, hoping for Cable to have some really cool moments, but not optimistic he'll get a massive amount of exposure in the arc anyway. Spinning out of that and into a solo or whatever would be sweet.

Based on that image (and the lack of the Uncanny Avengers roster), I wonder if he'll be joining the "core" Avengers team in the future...

Saw this too and while him being the only X-men on this teaser worries me, I am all for giving him a new solo series. He hasn't had one in quite some time and I think he's due. Since Secret Wars, he's been bouncing around on teams for the most part. It hasn't really given him a chance to shine. Since he's already been tagged for the next Deadpool movie, I think this is a good time to get his solo going again.

Maybe Death of X is that all the mutants die and Cable has to become their savior again?
