I'm not even asking it to be the main Avengers book, just an Avengers book. Perhaps have Mark Waid write it. I loved his Captain America, and I think he's doing a great job on ANAD Avengers.

EDIT: Cap's Hydra story needs to be completed with him being completely restored to the liberty loving Cap we all now and love. By the time the "Classic" Avengers were to be launched.

The Fantastic Four back, and no more events for at least 4 years

Also an Invisible Woman solo. But that's just a pipe dream.
Be sure to check out the Invisible Woman appreciation thread!

    - Cloak & Dagger: Two superheroes came back from Hong Kong, and clearing out the streets of New York from drug dealers and criminal masterminds. I would like to see a super-powered drug dealer probably has the power to give any power they want but there are some causes and effects.

    - Cable: Time Travelling and grit-action stories.

    - Ghost Rider: Robbie Reyes fighting the evil and the corrupted whether it's humans, demons or angels. Also, Johnny Blaze as his mentor.

    - Night Trasher: He was awesome in the Civil War: Choosing Sides, wouldn't mind for more street-level stories with high tech. I liked the scene where he saved the girl during the celestial incident.

    - Fantastic Four (Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Franklin and Valerie): A family of superheroes.

I really don't mind the seasonal model in theory, but if they're going to do it yearly they need to get rid of the events; but since they're clearly not going to do that they need to make it at least 2 years, then book end it with the event that changes the status quo.

A yearly season, combined with decompressed storytelling, combined the intrusive events, means that changing the status quo means nothing because there is no status quo to change! The moment things get set up, they just get knocked over again!

P.S. Also stop using the same name, it just makes cataloging confusing.

And please, change Cap from this...

    or this...

God, I hate the ANAD suit and shield SO much. I tried to like it, but it's just bad, IMO.
Especially when he throws that shield, it just looks SO awkward.

Right? I'm thinking of just calling in NMN! for New Marvel Now!, Or how about Marvel Now! Again (MNA)

Honestly for the most part...not much different to what we have now. I think it's too early after All-New, All-Different launch to have any major reshuffle and while it's not cool to say I'm fairly satisfied with how things are. There's some books I really like, some books I expected to like based on the concept were not quite what I expected but on the flip side there's a few pleasant surprises. Even the books I don't like I more put down to not being my cup of tea rather than them being objectively bad.

I'm glad that while there's some shakeups that post Civil War II they are staying the course. I'm not going to be unreasonable and cry for a Fantastic Four book because at the point it would not sell. I simply hope that as they stated after Secret Wars that this is more of a case when Thor had an extended cancellation back in the 2000s and that absence will make fans get behind a relaunch someday in the future but in the meantime it's good to see Ben and Johnny still around. By that same token this may not be a popular sentiment but since the X-Books are in disarray I think we should see even more of their characters featured in books that are working. Mystique was a Carol Danvers villain you can easily have her in Captain Marvel for instance.

Avengers Academy was more like the original X-men. An actual school that was also super-heroing. I'm thinking more like a "Big Brother, Big Sister" kind of thing.
Right. As in a real mentorship, not a school. And as an adult myself, I'd like to see those kids being mentored actually being grateful and respectful of their mentor, instead of acting like insufferable know-it-all brats who think they've seen it all, as the Av. Academy kids were often depicted IMO. I think that this would show a positive example to the younger readers, while being satisfying for the adult readership. I'd probably buy that.

I'd also avoid too many crossover. The focus should be on strenghtening the individual books and letting them tell their own stories.
Interconnectivity between titles (especially those in the same "family") would still be a big thing, but not to the point where one has to buy another book to understant what's going on in the one they're actually interested in.

As for the books and more specific ideas, here's the ones I can think of:

    - Sam Wilson getting a big push as Falcon. Make him matter as much as Cap. If Marvel can up the popularity of the Falcon identity, they'll give him a much more permanent role. I feel he already has a strong premise as a socially conscious hero, so I'd keep that angle and just make a part of the Falcon brand. I'd keep the large supporting cast. Sam should be a central character in the MU and have ample connections. Misty Knight would continue as his partner, Patriot (Elijah Bradley) would be his new sidekick (I'm really not feeling the new Falcon). I'd also have Nighthawk as the Punisher to Sam's Daredevil. They both share similar ideas, but Nighthawk is much more extreme. Falcon vs. Nighthawk could be one big blockbuster arc.
    - Ms. America would get a solo.
    - Invincible Iron Man would continue as it was before Civil War. Tony still Iron Man and David Marquez on art.
    - International Iron Man would become International Iron Men and focus on Rhodey (not dead, obviously) and a small squad of War Machines going on international missions to fight terrorism and prevent armed conflicts between nations. A book about military actions and the effects they have on innocent lives. Ideally, someone like Tom King would write if he wasn't exclusive to DC.
    - I'd change Hawkeye's creative team and change the title to Hawkeyes so Kate can be a true co-star.
    - Clint and Songbird become the new leaders of the Thunderbolts initiative to help rehabilitate villains: Titania and Absorbing Man, Nightshade, Ghost, Black Ant, Diadmondback, plus an scheming Moonstone as the main antagonist.
    - The New Avengers would be Kate Bishop, Patriot, White Tiger, Power Man, Hulkling, Wiccan and Stinger (Cassie Lang). They'd be full-on Avengers, acting independently as a more proactive unit.
    - I'd relaunch Avengers Academy and have it focus on Hank Pym and Firestar mentoring the new kids: Ms. Marvel, Nova, Miles Morales, Riri, Hulk (Cho) and Wasp. Big focus on classic villains and stories.
    - The main Avengers book would be about the older heroes acting as Earth's Mightiest Heroes again: Cap, Falcon, Iron Man, Thor (Jane), Wasp, Vision, Scarlet Witch and Noh-Varr as the fresh perspective and POV.
    - Ultimates would continue unchanged: Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ms America, Spectrum, Blue Marvel and guest-stars.
    - The Unity Squad would become the new X-factor. A team truly in the middle of Avengers and X-men with a little Inhumans thrown in. They'd be about keeping peace and making sure everyone can work together. The team would be: Rogue, Quicksilver (still Magneto's son), Polaris, Wonder Man, Beast (back to being fun), Voodoo and Psynapse.

    About the X-men:
They kind of need a Rebirth treatment because they've gone too far off the concept of fighting for the dream. I'd send the O5 back to where they came from and bring back old favorites like Logan and Jean.
    - Launch an X-MEN book about the big names going back to the core concept. Storm and Cyclops as co-leaders of a team featuring Jean Grey, Iceman, Nightcrawler, Colossus and Magik. They'd be the face of the X-men.
    - Launch a new X-MEN: LEGACY about Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost trying to run the school together. This would be the place for young characters like Anole, Armor, Rockslide, Pixie, etc.
    - X-FORCE would be about Magneto's team. They'd realize acting in public was doing no good to the cause, so they go covert. Psylocke, Gambit, Frenzy, Archangel, Sabretooth etc.
    - NEW MUTANTS: Moonstar leads a team of young heroes trying to make a difference to mutants who live in dire conditions across the globe. Because not all problems can be solved by stopping a villain or sending someone to Xavier's school. Cast: Moonstar, Warpath, Prodigy, Surge, Dust, Husk and Chamber.
    - CABLE & DOMINO: Team-up book with a little Boom-Boom thrown in
    - DAZZLER: About Alison Blaire trying to rise back to stardom. Supporting cast: Northstar, Pixie, A-Force etc.
    - ALL-NEW EXILES: Sage, Bishop, Rachel Grey, Ultimate Pryde, Blink, AU Captain Britain Elizabeth Braddock and Old Man Logan. The ultimate team of X-men trying to fix Extinction level threats to mutants across the multiverse.
    - LOGAN: Back, solo, and on the road. No flashy costumes, a quiet character examination.
    - ALL-NEW WOLVERINE: Basically the same as it is. Laura growing in her new role as Wolverine.

Books I'd keep mostly the same:
Captain America: Steve Rogers, Black Widow, Black Panther, Captain Marvel (keep the direction but get a consistent writing team), Ms. Marvel, Unbeatable Squirrel-Girl, Astonishing Ant-Man, Totally Awesome Hulk, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Daredevil, Punisher, Moon Knight, Doctor Strange, Mighty Thor, Spider-Woman (move her to the UK so she can have weird detective adventure there and explore her past), Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Mercs for Money (add Silver Sable to the team), Totally Awesome Hulk, Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil, Punisher, Uncanny Inhumans etc
Can you be the new Editor-In-Chief? Everything you said sounds fantastic lol. The only thing I'll add is to have Spider-Man (Peter) be on one of the Avengers teams since I miss him being a part of a team
Favorite Marvel Superheroes (in no particular order): Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Wolverine (Logan), Daredevil, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Black Bolt, Deadpool, Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew), The Thing, Cyclops, Emma Frost.

Favorite DC Superheroes (in no particular order): Batman, Batgirl/Oracle (Barbara Gordon), Zatanna, The Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Black Canary, Nightwing, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Shazam.

The return of the Fantastic Four. Johnny reunites with Lyja.

A "Birds of Prey" style book starring Silver Sable, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, and Diamondback. Madame Masque and Viper can be the the team's foes.

    Peter and Mary Jane reunite.

Peter Parker is no longer a wealthy industrialist. No more Tony Stark-light!

No more events for a long time!

Throttle back on the hero vs hero theme.

Stop "tainting" the heroes - see Scarlet Witch, Tony Stark, the Illuminati in general. Bad decisions or poor choices? Okay. But enough of making the heroes as bad or worse than the villains.

Power Man & Iron Fist and Hellcat keep their books.
