2016 strikes again. :-(
Rest in peace, Ms. Neill. You were Lois Lane for an entire generation, and shall not be forgotten.
watch some of the episodes. Lane kicked mad butt in that show.
RIP sweet lady!!
Cleverly disguised as a responsible Adult
Met her at a Comicon, very sweet lady.
Anyone who can play Lois Lane and not have her be a total horror is deserving of respect Thanks for the memories, and rest in peace
The quintessential Lois. Moel Neil looked and acted like she walked off the comic page, just as Christopher Reeve did for Superman. George Reeves was a pretty darn good Superman, and his Clark was a little more hard nosed than others; but, Noel was in a class by herself. She had the sassy charm, without being abrasive and she proved to be an icon for a generation of women who sought a life outside the home. She was a career woman when most of the other portrayals available were housewives, maids or secretaries (and the occasional teacher). You could imagine her Lois hanging out with Edward R Murrow, while all of the hard drinking tough reporters minded their Ps and Qs.
I'm not sure who's the best Clark/Superman, but I'm pretty darn positive she's been the best Lois Lane.
This is indeed sad news. She was the best and the first. She even came from the Superman serial that predated the George Reeve Superman series on TV. And then she played Lois' mother in the Christopher Reeve Superman alongside Kirk Alyn (the first Superman).
I watched CHARLIE CHAN in "The Sky Dragon" in which Noel Neill as a role just 2 weeks ago.
Rest In Peace!!!
I've seen a few episodes on MeTV and I have the first season on DVD, and I've got to say she was a hell of a Lois Lane and a real classy lady.
