Once you finish Infinite Crisis, you should check out some of the One Year Later stuff. Basically after Infinite Crisis all of DC's titles jumped forward one year. Green Arrow's storyline was my favorite because it introduces a rivalry with Deathstroke that was adapted in the TV show Arrow.

Also, you HAVE to read 52. One of the best series DC has ever put out, IMO, and focuses on lesser known/less popular characters and details what happened in the one year after Infinite Crisis.

Avoid the follow up, Countdown to Final Crisis, like the plague.

I keep hearing good things about 52.

You'll hit a brick wall pretty soon with the JLA. The first six issues of Brad Meltzer's run is good then things start slowing down by issue twelve. Dwayne McDuffie's run will either be a failure or underappreciated depending on your tastes.

And beyond that isnt James Robinson's run supposedly quite bad as well?

Yeah. The JLA hit a superlow point and they banked on a reboot to put them back in place. Sad part is that I knew they needed to do a major change but hoped they wouldn't resort to a reboot since it had been just a few years since Infinite Crisis. JSA managed to stay pretty good after Crisis, though.

Mileage may vary on this but personally I found Robinson's (barring CRY FOR JUSTICE, I'm just talking about his 3 arcs on JLA) JUSTICE LEAGUE a million times better then McDuffie's (also better then Denny O'Neil, Chuck Austen or Chirs Claremont's runs, but that's just me personally)

    Cheers.

    James.

God damn this is epic and an entirely different level than I thought. On issue 10 now, I am weary of this Superboy Prime since I saw read him as a bad guy during Post-Crisis Green Lantern.

    Anti-Monitor is awesome.

I feel that Avengers books are so much better than JLA stuff overall...which is a shame....because it shouldn't be.

    Which Avengers books specifically?

Nothing specific, but more in a general sense.

The Avengers stuff from the 60s to mid-80s I feel are just better. Then Giffen came on and of course that was one of the best JLA runs ever.

JLA may have been a bit better in the 90s, Vado's run wasn't anything impressive, Morrison was top-notch of course. But then I 2000-2010 I feel it's all Avengers dominating.

Now you see why I recommended putting everything else aside and reading this first. So much of what came after was a response to this DCU-changing event.

After Crisis on Infinite Earths, read Morrison's Animal Man run
