With Beast there was a feeling of personal betrayal involved, sure. But that was why he left. Not why he joined JGS. Wolverine didn't take the Idie thing personally, he just had the same objections you describe Sam as having but being Wolverine fought for his beliefs more strongly and angrily then Sam does.
