    Highly recommendable.
A typical Powell story, great dialogues, dark, yet humerous, go and get a copy.

Can't say I like this better than The Goon,
but on the other hand, after reading issue 1, I bought a second copy..! Very much enjoyed Hillbilly; very much recommend it. Highly recommend
taking dimo1's recommendation to heart. "Go and get a copy."

This is still in my "to read" pile but plan to sample it soon. I'm very MEH on Goon but felt like giving this first issue a fair shake.

That kind of hurt my heart. How much of the Goon did you read?

As for Hillbilly, this is the start of something great and will keep me satiated until the release of Lords of Misery.
