Year One, its a perfect origin story.
Best Bits:
Bruce's first night (on "recon") before it goes to hell
The SWAT team fight
"Father, how do I make them afraid?"
"Call's himself the Joker..."
Year one because its simple, compact and concise. Its one of the most tasteful Batman stories out there.
I like zero year as much as anyone, but no one is gonna pick it over year one. And I don't think zero year was created to compete with year one. It's something separate

I haven't read Zero Year, so haven't voted, but Year One is my second favourite comic ever, so I doubt Zero Year could win
I had problems with Year One in terms of what Miller did with/to Selina Kyle, but as gorgeous as the art for Zero Year was, it was still overly-stretched and filled with touches of Snyder's bloviated writing.
I love Zero Year, thought it was a great origin for this era of Batman. That being said, it's Year One by a long shot. To me Year One is the origin of the character of Batman that everyone should adhere too. It's the origin for the way Batman should ALWAYS be perceived. There could be other origins like Zero Year, that doesn't phase me. But I feel Year One is the origin for the character as a whole and not just one certain universes batman. I hope they made sense.
Year One = the mold for how batman should be perceived and written.
Zero Year, Begins, etc = good origin stories for different eras/mediums of the Bat.
Year One
any creative team who work on Batman will always be under the shadow of Frank Miller and Alan Moore... always.
Year One is superior in every way and a masterpiece of comic book storytelling. Replacing it in canon was an idiotic move, and Zero Year just frankly isn't that good. The idea of the Riddler being Batman's debut villain is just... so... dumb. Miller knew what he was doing, not having the origin revolve around an arbitrary villain.
Valiant- X-O Manowar / Bloodshot Salvation / Ninja-K / Quantum and Woody! / Shadowman / Harbinger Wars II / Brittania
DC- Justice League / Hal Jordan and the GLC / The Flash / Aquaman / Mera / Mister Miracle / Silencer / The Terrifics
Other- The Walking Dead / Mighty Morphin Power Rangers / Go Go Power Rangers
I'm not sure there is a Batman fan out there who would pick Zero Year over Year One. That doesn't mean that Zero Year stunk. I liked it. But Year One is epic, albeit short.

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
