Lightbulb City of Leviathan: Captain America

Here is a composite of characters from the Marvel realms that can comprise an 'urbanization paranoia universe.'

    -----------

Hobgoblin: One of Spider-Man's most eccentric nemeses, this super-villain soars around the city on a jet-device not unlike the Green Goblin, but his schemes are more kamikaze

Empress Lelandra: A challenger of the Uncanny X-Men, this cunning conspiracy-artist evokes our anxieties about governance in times of vast resource delineation and is relevant to modern age studies about genetics intellectual property controversies

Red Skull: A thorn in Captain America's side, this martial demon challenges securities about traffic peace

Mr. Sinister: An expert in fascist schemes, this nemesis of the X-Men is bent on power for Babylon propaganda

To challenge these stealthy titans of terrorism that shake our faith about basic human traffic reliability in populism-ornamental American cities such as Boston, Massachusetts (where you might find the spooky Hobgoblin creating toxic waste), the valiant Captain America (a true friend of the democratic American city) casts his mighty shield to protect the diligent from the reach of such anti-populism challengers.

I will posit that these villains challenge Captain America's authority in a fictional American city called Sentinel Jerusalem.

I'd like to call this universe, "City of Leviathan."

    The Sinister States:
After President Norman Osborn created the Superhuman Registration Act, a 'hero' was sent to protect each American State, as part of 'The Osborn Initiative', an project created by the Government to help reform former super villains. However, a couple of years later America declared War on Asgard. Now, the 'heroes' are fighting against the Asgardians and each other to protect their 'territories', in the Ultimate Civil War, between the states of America. These former villains were renamed or 'rebranded', similar to the Thunderbolts. They include:
Hoodlum (formerly The Hood)-The paranoid protector of Alabama, Hoodlum has built a wall around his entire state to protect his state from 'invaders'.
Madcap (formerly Hobgoblin)-Is assembling an army (called the Sinister Statesmen) to unite the states and destroy Asgard once and for all. His powers include the 'lunatic laugh' and the power to make his enemies see their worst fear.
The Sinister Statesmen: Madcap's gang, consisting of the heroes who defend the few states which are united against the Asgardian threat. Members include: Rampage (formerly Rhino), Question Mark (formerly Mysterio), Quicksand (formerly Sandman), CarrionKnight (formerly Vulture), and Redback (formerly Black Widow).

Lightbulb The Othello Pit: Perception Lantern

We know that modern interpretations of Batman (such as Tim Burton films and Christopher Nolan films) finds the Dark Knight dressed in all black batsuits.

Here's a universe in which Batman, dressed in his black suit, must contend with various realm villains who are also dressed in black or black-and-white outfits.

    --------

Black Cat (the wily and diabolical woman with incredible agility and strength who is usually a nemesis of the webbed-wonder Spider-Man), Venom (the maniacal muscular monster who terrorizes Spider-Man's city), Black Mask (a ruthless gangster who plagues Batman's Gotham City in an underworld of crime schemes), and General Zod (the black cloth wearing tyrant who challenges the peace in Superman's Metropolis) merge forces and invade Gotham, requiring Batman, Gotham City's valiant Dark Knight, to find a way to control the madness.

Black Cat, Venom, Black Mask, and General Zod kidnap all of Gotham City's children during regular school hours with their band of goons and take them to their secret lair where they are held for ransom under threat of death.

Batman realizes that if these villains were able to enter into Gotham's schools, then one of their goons must have been an inside employee (perhaps a teacher) who helped them enter. Batman tracks the names of all personnel in these schools and decodes the fact that the villains' secret lair where the children are being held hostage must be in the sewers of Gotham. One of the school employees was making strange inquiries into Gotham City's sewer system, and Batman deduced that he must have been planning the lair construction with his villainous cohorts.

Batman charges at the sewers in his Bat-Sub and discovers the lair. He enters in un-noticed and throws darts at the villains which are laced with a potent tranquilizer. The villains are debilitated and Batman shuffles the frightened children out of the sewer lair and back into the hands of their parents. He delivers the villains to Arkham Asylum where they are held in deep sensory control incarceration units.

Batman is happy with what he's done, but wonders why villains who are dressed in black-and-white suits chose to combine forces. He realizes that since killer whales are black-and-white in color, and since killer whales are motility symbols of strength and agility balance, the villains decided to create hysteria in the name of perception mayhem.

As Batman is leaving the villains in Arkham, Black Mask tells Batman, "I hope you won't be worried about playing Othello, Dark Knight, since it's a game of black-and-white colored pieces."

This black-and-white storyboard in Gotham City can be called The Othello Pit.

    Earth-7531

Captain America: Johann Shmidt, a young weak German male, was raised to believe in his soldier father, Hitler, and the white superior race. After training and proving himself to his father, he was allowed into the German army where his first duty was guarding a concentration camp. Seeing the camps first hand and being told to kill a child, Johann started to question everything he was taught. When he was asked again to follow orders, Johann threw down his armband and said no. Johann released the prisoners and fought the guards, when the riot was over Johann wanted to stay and fight but was persuaded to come to America by prisoners, scientist Abraham Erskine and British spy Peggy Carter. As he was in America learning about starting a new life as Stephen Rogers and leaving your past behind you, Dr. Erskine requested him to join the super soldier project, turning Stephen into Captain America. As Captain America, he fought every type of criminal and radical extremists of every political group for decades until the 90s where the cynicism of America's adults and youth and the rise of the anti-hero made Stephen retire and live a quiet life in New York.

Earth 113: Avengers vs. The Transformers

Decades ago Marvel published the TF line. This universe brings the MU and TF worlds together (a primarily 616 mash-up with primarily IDW or Aligned elements)

For Nick Fury, director of SHIELD, it started when he arrived at what was left of one of his hellicarriers, floating in the Pacific Ocean after falling from the sky. All the drives had been scrubbed by EMPs, save for a few seconds of audio feedback...

For Lt. Rhodes of the US Air Force, it started when he, clad in state of the art War Machine armor, investigated an alarm at a Nevada army storage facility, and was greeted by a force of towering metal men...

For Tony Stark, billionaire inventor, it started when he received a tantalizing audio clip from Nick Fury. But it will have to wait until he visits his friend Rhodey at the hospital...

For Victor Von Doom, self-made ruler of Latveria, it had begun weeks ago when his satellites picked up what he could only describe as a language being transmitted through radio signals. Now he works night and day to decode the noise, and see what secrets he can find...

For Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots of Cybertron, it started 4 million years ago, when one of his closest friends plunged his world into chaos and war. And now it would start again, on this new planet. The attack on the humans' strange floating vessel had marked the end of their Infiltration Period, and soon their war with the Decepticons would heat up...

    Lightbulb Runaway Trains

Here is a city-themed diorama in which Spider-Man (Marvel Comics) must tackle the following super-villains:

Green Goblin --- the sky-soaring city terrorist who rides his jet device and throws pumpkin-shaped bombs

Haggar --- the nefarious witch consultant to the nemeses of the valiant galaxy defender robot Voltron

Venom --- the muscular brute with agility and malice to match

Mysterio --- a man intent on using illusions and traps to create panic and anxiety

Venger --- the diabolical warlock whose pursuit of power symbolizes the dangers of any realm

These super-villains merge forces to terrorize the subway systems in the nation's capital, but Spider-Man saves the day by suspending all trains with his mighty webs.

This grid defense story is presented in the hypothetical city infrastructure protection commando issue, "The Capital Subway Terror."

    Lightbulb Leprechaun: The Reckoning

A new Marvel superhuman arrives on the scene --- Leprechaun.

Leprechaun has a genetically mutated brain which enables him to process perceptions and store them in memory very quickly. This makes him very skilled at memory games and at counting cards for gambling games (i.e., casinos).

Leprechaun goes to casinos, wins big money, and then gives some of the money to the poor and uses the remainder of it to finance his outlandish schemes (i.e., hijacking money transport planes going to colonial government banks).

Leprechaun inhabits a world enamored with 'prosperty ruthlessness.'

He is Marvel's answer to DC Comics' Two-Face (the nemesis of Batman).

    Lightbulb Mysterio's Buzzer

Mysterio, the super-villain who confounds people with mentally frustrating death-traps and is Marvel's version of the bizarre Riddler (DC Comics), sets out on a multi-pronged mission designed to make Spider-Man very anxious:

    =======

    1. Mysterio unnerves people with computers by writing a viral algorithm which distorts computers' ability to process straightforward user grammar input processing

    2. Mysterio puts a sweet-smelling aromatic gas in a major opera house, and while the audience is aroused, they fail to realize the gas is a sleeping gas

    3. Mysterio sends a pirate fake news radio broadcast declaring that the city police are dealing with terrorists who have sent threats to attack the city subways

    4. Mysterio posts (on the Internet) photographs of rainbows appearing after a rain storm and writes that the rainbows are actually acid rain rainbows

    5. Mysterio sends a report to the city tabloids that the mayor's wife has ties to the Communist Party

    =======

Spider-Man instantly recognizes that these ploys are meant to make the people of the city feel anxious and cynical about everyday life.

To counter this offensive, Spider-Man sends a declaration to the city newspaper --- "I promise to monitor the vitality of the city subways to ensure that every citizen feels comfortable about moving about in this optimistic city."

This storyboard is a special presentation focused on direct life challenges between Mysterio and Spider-Man.

    Exclamation Carnage Yard

Carnage is Spider-Man's most sinister (if not diabolical or strong) nemesis.

Carnage is like a ball of raging flesh, and he uses agility combined with a sneering sort of menacing wrath to terrorize Spider-Man's city.

Let's imagine a planet in which Carnage rules:

"Carnage lives on a special planet called Tinus where Spider-Man banished him to live on forever. Carnage trolls around the deserted planet, kicking up dust and cursing at the wind. One day, Carnage finds a special shell which enables him to send out focused screams of vocal waves that can reach planet Earth. Spider-Man picks up on these shrills from Earth with his senses and realizes that Carnage has found a way to make trouble even from the planet Tinus.

Spider-Man goes through a special vortex which enabled him to get to planet Tinus and dispose of Carnage there. He arrives on planet Tinus and finds Carnage making turbulent sounds with his newfound shell. Spider-Man decides that he will deal with this new shell device and return to planet Tinus every six months to see what Carnage is up to.

Each time Spider-Man visits planet Tinus, he must deal with something new and strange and awful that Carnage is doing."

This series could be called Tinus Patrol: Carnage Control.

Personally, Carnage reminds me of Leatherface.

    Earth-1138

Disclaimer: This universe may be seen as unrealistic.

This universe is inspired by the Marvel Adventures comics, as well as the Marvel-related animated cartoons from the 80's, 90's and the New Millennium. This is a kid-friendly Marvel Universe designed for younger readers in mind, because I wanted to create a version of the Marvel Universe as if it were an animated series.

Here's a list of things you should know about my ideal Marvel Universe:

    1) Mutants are not subjected to prejudice and persecution, because the O5 X-Men prevented the whole "humanity fearing and hating mutants" shtick from ever happening.

    2) S.H.I.E.L.D. is not morally ambiguous, nor have they been infiltrated by the Deltites or HYDRA, and the only secrets they keep are secret identities and schematics.

    3) Big Hero 6 appears as an amalgamation of the movie (which I love) and the original comics.

    4) No soap opera drama, such as love triangles, mysterious resurrections, or heroes pitted against heroes.

    5) There is no such thing as moral ambiguity. There are only good characters and evil characters.

    6) Familial connections has been established between characters from other media and characters from the comics. (i.e. Shang-Chi is the nephew of Melinda May.)

    7) Lots of references, elements and characters from other media (movies, video games, tv) have been incorporated. (i.e. Jack McGee is a reporter for the Daily Bugle.)

    8) Mutants and superheroes altogether are respected by admired by humanity, similar to the DC Universe and the Earth-12 universe from the Exiles comics.

    9) As a firm believer in happy endings, every superhero/superheroine ends up romantically involved with someone who loves them.

    10) The tropes surrounding the Fantastic Four, like Reed's neglecting his family for science or Ben's inability to transform, doesn't occur.

    11) Earth-1138 is not like Earth-616, where it is a superhero world residing in our world.

    12) The costumes are from the comics, although there are redesigns for female characters known to wear skimpy outfits. (i.e. Angela)

    13) Characters like Jean Grey and Gwen Stacy never died in this universe. Jean has the Phoenix under control (no Dark Phoenix Saga), and Gwen Stacy later went on to become Spider-Woman.

Wow you guys are impressive! Maybe at some point, I'll read some of that. Mine will be more simple.

    Earth 00-TTT-00:

    1. X-Men: Professor Xavier is a former Shield Agent in a wheelchair who gained a fortune by arcane means. He's recruited a bunch of normal runaways and teached them how to harness powers that exist in every human beings: telepathy, telekinesis, empathy, pyrokinesis. He himself has learned all these by having access to secret government research that Shield used. Via Shield he has learned that a war is coming for the domination of Earth and has used every means at his disposal to build himself his own super-squad called the X-Men.

Meanwhile, there's a madman calling himself Magnus who has mastered these powers and he built himself a cult at the frontier of a few nations in the balcans and his actions could cause WW3. He portrays himself as a modern day Moses and welcome all the "lost souls" to join him. And the thing is, he's come to believe that his powers come from God. He doesn't possess magnetic powers, just extremely powerful telekinesis.

Like I said, in this Universe, the X-Men and their World do not contain people with horns or wings and projecting energies from their eyes. It's just psychic-based powers that can be developed by anybody. So it's not about "race". It's about power and how much you are willing to do to get it. So the term "mutants" do not refer to these guys. It's about Xavier, Magnus, Nick Fury and a few other people, guys that were friends before during a war, they graduated as Shield agents, then learns incredible secrets about aliens, about super-powers, about the origin of man, etc...and now that they are free, they go their separate ways to use these secrets to change the World for the good and bad.

You know, this would make a fantastic character even in the 616 U! Maybe he wouldn't name himself Cap but there's a spark there of interesting elements to base a character on. Maybe if they could revamp Mighty Destroyer for the movies....
