    The Avengers of Earth 6-5000

(drafted by S.H.I.E.L.D director Natasha Romanoff and sent on a suicide mission to Axis Mundi-controlled Latveria)

Cage - soldier-of-fortune, Carl Lucas, gained superhuman abilities after surviving a chemical attack overseas - he was "gifted" with nigh-impenetrable jet black skin - he was recruited from a cell; put there for undisclosed war crimes

Iron Fist - self-titled master of the martial arts became known to authorities after wading through a well-paid security force and publically murdering a respected real estate tycoon - at trial, his claims of being the kunlunian herald of dragon lords was introduced as mitigating circumstances in the murder. Rand, besides making Anderson Silva seem like Kip Dynamite, appears to be able to harness "spiritual energy" for a variety of superhuman effects ex. catching bullets, running up buildings, and shattering steal)

Tigra - Bolivian police officer Greer Guevera-Nelson's life was radically altered after an investigation into the disappearance of a young girl led to a confrontation with corrupt military officers. she was found in a remote area covered in the blood of her attackers and marked with the sigil of the Cat-People.

Spider-woman - noblewoman who was cursed by a spurned suitor (this world's Anton Druid); resulting in an uncontrolled ability to generate fear in others, a vampiric thirst for bioenergy, and an affinity for spiders. this curse also came with enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, stamina and the ability to create venom-laced webs. she stalked the streets of london as a criminal-murdering urban legend until capture by SHIELD's magic division; MYS-TECH.

Black Knight - well-reknowned exotic weaponeer of europe's supercriminal underworld and sometime "evil larp-er" Dane Whitman engaged in domestic terrorism alongside the self-styled Masters of Evil and resided in an Otherworld detainment facility, prior to recruitment. good old fashioned engineering with a bit of alchemy resulted in his personal armor and weaponry.

Ant-Man - selkirk born criminal and hi-tech break-in-artist Scott Lang went on a small (yet popular on youtube) crimespree after lifting a size-altering stealth suit from traveling scientist/lecturer Henry Pym's flat. Lang's unusual genetics allowed him to retain his size-shifting abilities after the original owner apprehended him; which was ridiculously easy to do because he was on video giving a shoutout to his daughter & ex-wife.

I want one where Avengers Arena and Undercover didn't happen. The characters could still die or lose limbs, but in an actually heroic manner, fighting someone with dignity, like Thanos.
Also, Arcade doesn't exist in this Universe. neither do any supervillain who is a pedophile.

Thats... like just your opinion man. I mean yeah its squicky but if bad guys aren't ever doing "EVIL" its kinda just opposing political parties really. I get you though *Squick* I'd like a real-world like that. Ymmv
My priority is enjoying and supporting stories of timeless heroism and conflict.

    HAWKEYE/CLINT BARTON:

My goal is always to simplify and modernize where possible. I’d start him off in the same place; younger brother in an abusive home. He and Barney would still run away. But the divergence would be them both winding up in a white nationalist/survivalist community; led by Buck Chisholm. Clint first picks up the bow because 1) his adopted ‘family’ live off the land/hunt and 2) he’s initially afraid of the gun. Anyways, Chisholm (who also prefers the bow) immediately recognizes Clint’s potential; taking him under his wing. Barney would be the first to discover Chisholm’s other job. A subsection of the group deal drugs and take part in acts of domestic terrorism.
Barney’s discovery leads to Chisholm, first, forcibly recruiting him (using Clint’s safety as leverage) and, ultimately, to arrange for his accidental death (on a weapons heist). They tell Clint that Barney died heroically fighting the feds. It’s a total fabrication of course. Barney actually wound up in witness protection.

Clint, after becoming quite proficient as a marksman (mostly using self-designed explosive arrows) would naturally begin to butt heads with Chisholm. The latter notices that Clint purposely doesn’t kill (or even injure if he can help it) the people they encounter during their criminal operations. It eventually comes to a head as Clint has to fight his family to protect a few injured police officers. Protect them he does; an injured Chisholm being the only one to escape. Clint, now a young adult, hits the road after making sure that police backup is en route.

Next part of the story involves Clint hiding out at a carnival. Swordsman doesn’t mentor him in my story (never liked that part of it). If he encounters him, it’s brief and unimportant. So, unbeknownst to all involved, Nick Fury (or one of his spies) has been monitoring the situation. He knows what happened to Barney (made a promise to him to look after Clint). He knows of Chisholm’s activities. And knows that Clint doesn’t have the stomach to be a criminal. Fury makes himself known after Clint, in his carnival persona, subtley stops a bank robbery get-away driver. He forcibly recruits Clint as one of his off-the-books SHIELD agents. He sets Clint up with a safehouse in the woods and sees that he receives further spy training. Clint is occasionally called in for a solo special op; to make up for his past crimes. Next mission involves Clint executing Natasha Romanoff; a Russian subversive agent. Clint, being a naturally anti-authority type rebels (which was Fury’s plan anyways). They both join up with the Avengers. And now Fury has a spy (possibly two) on the Avengers.

in addendum, I wanted to give Clint's origin story more of a sons of anarchy (or, if you prefer, Walking Dead) kind of feel to it. to clarify, Clint's not a bigot; far from it. my version is a self-reliant free spirit (there's a lot of huck finn in him). his ambidextrous aim would be bordering on the line between peak and enhanced human. he'd learn knife fighting while on the compound but prefer non-lethal methods; like his stun arrows or staff. that said, he'd be extremely dangerous with a gun because of Fury.

i'll get to some of my other Avengers reboots, if I have time; later.

ANT-MAN & THE WASP: HANK PYM & JANET VAN DYNE:

    “Modernize and Simplify”
Hank Pym – the military’s problem child prodigy – IQ off the scales but balanced by emotional instability, peter pan complex, lack of practicality, and a reluctance to give them any game changing weapons to battle the ruskies – bottom-line: not as valuable as the Richards kid.
To bring the space cadet down to Earth, they partner him with fellow young scientist Maria Trovaya (daughter of eastern European expatriates). Maria, proving to be even more of a free spirit, encourages Pym’s creativity and adventurous side. As a nod to the golden age heroes, young (still teens) Pym and Trovaya (together) develop the Ant-Man and Wasp identities. Pym, in secret, develops the pym particle solution. Trovaya develops the cybernetics of the identities. It’s all after hours Hardy Boys stuff; low risk & mostly non-violent. The only notable adventure involves them exposing another scientist, Elias Starr, for selling secrets to enemies of the U.S. they enjoy their urban legend status & become closer; romantically.

It all comes crashing down when Elias (dubbed Egghead by the press) arranges Maria’s murder. A crest-fallen Pym has what appears to be a nervous breakdown and goes missing for a time. In that time, he becomes much more serious about his role as a vigilante; seeking revenge on anyone associated with Starr. He does so in the guise of ‘The Yellowjacket’; not wanting the violence and darker mission to taint the Ant-Man identity (which Maria co-created). He gets a measure of revenge against Egghead. He also returns to his work for the military; now a much more serious and productive scientist (just in time for Reed’s ill-fated rocket flight).

Janet Van Dyne is the daughter of one of Pym’s mentors. At the time that we meet her, she is actively investigating her father’s murder. Turns out that Jan, despite seeming like a spoiled debutante, is a real natural when it comes to following a lead; quite the scrapper too. The further she delves into the mystery of her dad’s death, the weirder it gets. On the other side of this, Pym (as the Ant-Man) is conducting an investigation of his own. But he starts from the weird side of it; finding residue at the site of Professor Van Dyne’s murder potentially not-of-this-Earth. Their paths cross when Jan walks into a trap laid by one of the killer’s co-conspirators; self-dubbed Living Erasers. Ant-Man and Janet, after a protacted battle, manage to kill the Eraser. Janet is under Pym’s protection for awhile until she convinces him that he might as well train her because she’s determined to keep getting into danger. Thus, the new Wasp is born.
The main changes I made to the story were making Pym younger and, hopefully, giving Jan more of a sense of agency. In some ways, she’s a better detective than Hank. His specialty is forensics. People are Jan’s talent. She’s good at getting information and spotting deception. My take on them would have them be more partners than lovers. Maria is very much Hank’s ‘Gwen Stacy.’ Her death changed him profoundly. And Jan’s kind of a male tony stark; not prone to settling down. They join the Avengers just like in the original story; just not as girlfriend and boyfriend (although Hank is naturally protective of her). Another wrinkle would be Jan being more committed to the Avengers than Hank (a natural loner). oh yeah, and no spousal abuse.

Resurrections are Infrequent in this reality.... Cap, Reed, Hawkeye, Cyclops, Logan and several others all dead
Sam Wilson assumes Captain America role- gets power upgrade thru Super soldier serum- uses flying suit. Now has telepathic rapport with humans as well as birds. More later maybe.

During World War II; Captain America saves young Magneto from the concentration camps. He becomes Cap's sidekick. Cap is never frozen as Magneto saves him. Long after the war Cap dies of old age and Magneto inherits the title of Captain America. Mutants are much better treated in this universe.

It would be a world where magic had rules and was the core of the universe, somewhat like James Robinson's Earth 2. Angel would be the Captain America of the world, being granted the ability to fly by a magic cape before the cape's ability to fly is compromised and he falls into the ocean. The cape floats to the shore and is passed down from individual to individual exhibiting different powers and forms to match its wearer. It eventually finds its way to The Hood, who corrupts it with his ill intentions. When Angel is restored by Dr. Strange, he gets it back after a battle with The Hood, but it's not quite the same. It feels wrong. Through his attempt to purify the cape, he explores the fabric and fundamentals of magic. Dr. Strange would be the Tony Stark here. Smart, arrogant, he is the greatest enchanter that has ever lived. His powers comes from multiple items and his ability to talk himself into favor with all sorts of inherently magical entities that allow him to imbue their power into items for immediate spontaneous use. Thor would still be Thor, but instead of science disguised as magic, he is one of those inherently magical entities. As opposed to being cast out, Thor is on Earth of his own volition and suffers from oikophobia. Natasha would have been Angel's Bucky. Instead of being molded by Russians to become an assassin, she is molded into one by the United States itself. Under the guise of The Destroyer, she is a master of infiltrating and destroying magical threats against the United States. Most magic takes preparation. Certain things must be done in a certain way in order to get the attention of and gain the favor of magical entities. Magic is usually very orderly. The Destroyer is swift and chaotic, able to take down a room full of warlocks before they can respond. Having faced unspeakable magical circumstances, she looses herself to her Destroyer persona, only to find herself again when Angel returns.

Science would still be a thing, of course. The Fantastic Four here would be Hank Pym- scientist supreme, disgruntled, a little mad, chosen hero of the abstracts. Jim Hammond- the human torch, the first synthetic man, his body is that of a 12 year old for Astro Boy-esque reason. Vision and Wanda- husband and wife team, pushing the boundaries of magic, technology, and uhh...biology. Ultron would be the Dr. Doom of the team- created as a means for Hank to explore magic that he himself cannot scientifically explain, Ultron gained true sentience while trying to analyze a magical anomaly. Ultron has mastered magic and science in a way Hank could only ever hope to. He sees the way humanity corrupts magic, like the way a cape used for flight can become a horrific weapon of death and torture. Ultron wishes to destroy humanity to preserve the purity of magic. He wishes to prove himself a successful creation, superior to Hank in all ways, but the Fantastic Four continues to trump him, and even entices his son/masterpiece, Vision, away from him. He creates his own kingdom in the form of Weirdworld.

and finally, you'd have Jan, Hank's ex-wife. Unbeknownst to any mortal, Jan is destined to be the Sorcerer Supreme, but what does that mean in a world like this? Who has the right to deem her so? What are their expectations? Numerous magical entities challenge each other in every way imaginable to be able to control this charismatic young woman who could potentially match them all, and she doesn't even know. Is her future with The Fantastic Four? With the growing Avengers? Or is she destined for something altogether different? And who is prepared to stop her if she falls under the wrong influence?

    Hey guys,

I'm new here and I was recommended this thread by a friend of mine. I think it's aweseome, you guys have some great ideas here, and if it's okay with all of you, I figured I'd share my idea called the MarvelouZ Spider-Man. It's basically the same deal as the orginal Spider-Man, except in this universe, the heroes and villains use 'ki' (the inner life force that's in all living beings), which serves as a basis for meta-humans to better control their powers. But Perhaps I've said too much. Here's the idea I have so far.

    MARVEL Z TIMELINE
    2015 World War Doom
-The Allied Nations declare war on Victor Von Doom, ruler of not just Latvaria and the Doom Empire. Doom has used his mastery of both science and magic to enhance his armor and take control of Europe. As such, the press nicknamed it World War Doom.
-The Allies were all led by S.H.I.E.L.D., along with Nick Fury, the Ultimates (Captain America/Steve Rogers III, Iron Man/Tony Stark, Thor, Hawkeye/Clint Barton, Hank Pym/Ant-Man, Janet Van Dyne/Wasp and Bruce Banner/Hulk) and the Fantastic Four (Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm). Also joining in the war were that of Doctor Strange, Quake/Daisy Johnson, The Spider/ Ezekiel Sims, White Tiger/ Hector Ayala, and the X-Men (Scott Summers/Cyclops, Jean Grey/Marvel Girl, Beast/Dr. Hank McCoy, Bobby Drake/Iceman, Warren Worthington III/Angel, Nightcrawler/Kurt Wagner, Colossus/Piotr Respurtin, Storm/Ororo Monroe, Logan/Wolverine, Sean Kassidy/Banshee and Professor X)
-Trainers on who taught the X-Men and most of the Ultimates in S.H.I.E.L.D. how to use ki are Professor Charles Xavier, Madam Web and Doctor Stephen Strange.
-Otto Octavius was a S.H.I.E.L.D scientist but was revealed as a sleeper agent for Doom, and killed fellow S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and scientist, Richard Parker. Both Ezekiel and Daisy Johnson/Quake confronted him, which resulted in Otto getting critically injured and Daisy getting killed.
-After the war, Ezekiel finally decided to retire from active duty after the deaths of both Richard and Daisy and took a hovering drone as a gift, to which he named after Daisy.
    2017
-Ezekiel retires from active duty, settles into an apartment complex in Queens to look after the Parker family. However, he gets a call from his sister, Madam Web, that a Spider-Totem, which has taken the form of a small spider, has gone missing.
-Peter Parker, age 15, attends a field trip with his class to Oscorp, where he gets bitten by an unusual spider. That spider was, in fact, the Spider-Totem, which was captured by Oscorp’s owner, Norman Osborn, for experimentation and managed get some of its genetic material.
-After getting bitten, Peter creates s mask-shift costume, web-shooters and goes into pro-wrestling. Peter is cheated by the promoter, and therefore, as he was leaving, he saw a thief running away from the office, and thus let him get away, feeling it wasn’t his problem when he got robbed.
-When Peter returns, he finds that the police are at his home and is given the news that his Uncle was shot dead, as well as that the murderer was chased down to a warehouse. Peter goes there, confronts the killer where it was poorly lit, and is almost driven into an animalistic rage, and is only brought out of it when he saw the killer in a lighted area and saw that it was the same thief that he let go. While in his grief, he webs up the killer for the police, and realized that, the hard way, the meaning of his Uncle’s words. In that ‘with great power, comes great responsibility.’
-Ezekiel catches wind of Peter’s exploits, from watching his wrestling match on TV, and to the vision of his sister, Madam Web, who tells Ezekiel where Peter will confront the killer so he could see first hand that the young man not only has great power, but also has heart no to succumb to his spider-like impulses, but he still needed his guidance. Henceforth, she instructs Ezekiel to train him, and two days after Ben’s murder, he goes to Peter’s house. He waited with May for Peter to return to school, and while waited, he told her a story that Peter saved him from a mugger and did not want a reward, and just wanted say thanks. Once May leaves the room to make tea, Ezekiel finally tells Peter the truth, and after showing him his spider strength, tells Peter that he can train him.
-Though this was all too much for Peter to take in, he still agreed to Ezekiel’s proposal to train him, as he still felt obligated to Uncle Ben and Aunt May to try and master these new abilities in order to use them more responsibly, and felt that this strange, eccentric old man with similar abilities was the best person to help him do it.
-From that day forward, Peter began to train under Ezekiel for the next three years.

-Peter, age 18 completes Ezekiel’s ‘basic training’ and was just about to begin more advanced exercises. However, it is soon interrupted by the Scorpion. This forced both Peter and Ezekiel to team up, but during the fight, Peter goes into ‘feral spider’ mode and almost kills Scorpion but is stopped by Ezekiel, who renders him unconscious. Unfortunately, Peter gave Ezekiel a ‘spider sting’ before knocking him out, making him somewhat stunned and not as agile. Scorpion than goes to kill Peter with his bladed tip, but Ezekiel ends up stepping in front of the blade, taking the stab. He ends up ripping the tail off Scorpion’s body, knocks him out and leaves him for the police, but soon collapses to the roof floor just as Peter wakes up. In his student’s arms, Ezekiel tells Peter to locate ‘The two devils’ before he finally passes away.
-Peter hears rumors about a ‘red devil’ patrolling Hell’s Kitchen at night and thus begins his search for him, all the while making and trying out new tech and fighting whatever crime he finds. Not to mention running from the police, thanks to the ‘Anti-Spidey’ propaganda by J. Jonah Jameson.
-One day, while testing out the new lens in his mask (which tore through half his budget), Peter stops a purse snatcher, but two frightened pedestrians call the police, which now wear Iron Man like armor of Tony Stark’s design. One team of policemen, eight in all, and led by veteran officer Herman Schultz, begin chasing Peter throughout the city, with Herman losing his temper on how Spidey evaded him, and carelessly kept shooting stun blast with little care for the people around, especially a window washer that would’ve been killed had Spider-Man not saved him. As he ran from them, Peter inadvertently taps into his ki, and thus makes him move forty times faster than his usual speed and successfully loses the cops.
-Just before he and his officers could give chase to Spider-Man, the leading officer, Sargent Herman Schultz, receives a call from Captain George Stacey to stand down and report to him immediately.
-Meanwhile, Spider-Man himself had arrived at nearby alley which he nearly missed due to his rapidly increased speed. After examining himself and watch as the light dimmed down, Spider-Man couldn’t help think back to that day on the Oscorp fieldtrip and how the spider bit him, then wonder if this was what Ezekiel meant to teach him before he died. He then shook it off and decided to change out of his costume and back to Peter Parker, now age 18, and headed home, feeling that his initial task of testing his new lenses was complete. Still, deep down he knew that the sooner he found the’ two devils’, the sooner he can learn to understand and control this new power so he could be a better hero for New York.
-Back at Police Headquarters, Herman is seen talking with Captain George Stacy, who was revealed to be a war hero from World War Doom, but now has a prosthetic left leg. He was always bothered by Herman’s temper and ‘shoot first ask questions later’ tactics, and once he observed his chasing of Peter via the lenses in his helmet he was further upset when he saw him nearly killed the window washer, all which finally prompted him to fire Herman immediately.
-As Herman stormed out of the office, a janitor, which was mildly Hispanic man in his late thirties and dressed in a blue jumpsuit was collecting trash and made his way to the secretary’s desk, while the secretary herself was nowhere to found. As he bent down and made it look like he was taking the trash out of the bin, he was really switching out a small circular device with another one, as the original device’s charge ran out. Afterwards, he got up, with trash in hand, and walks away just as the secretary herself came walking in. Also coming in were two of Captain Stacey’s trusted officers, Vin Gonzales and Jean DeWolf.

There are so many ways I would do this...

    Here’s one:

I would probably make all of the heroes into separate universes. It would help A LOT with keeping continuity.

The Captain America-verse with Namor and Jim Hammond

    The Fantastic Four-verse

    The Ant-Man-verse

    The Hulk-verse

    The Spider-Man-verse

    The Iron Man-verse

    The X-Men-verse

All of it would have a consistent timeline. Not necessarily real time, but time would definitely pass.
