And had the JLA wipe up her collected Rogues' gallery, which she was utterly ineffective against. IIRC at one point Batman outmagicked Circe.

Honestly, I don't get the complaint about that one... knowing you were actually made of clay, I thought it would be perfectly natural that she at some asked herself: "What am I?" I could however question whenever it's the right time to make this consideration with one of your most powerful adversaries as the only listener.

Which isn't true, because Diana spends a good part of that issue taking all of them on at once... if anything it just demonstrated how underpowered most of her gallery is that you can swamp Diana in all of them and still not be able to bring her down.

If Zack Snyder and Geoff Johns had anything to do with this, the mystery VILLAIN should be apocalyptic, larger-than-life and a perfect fit for the big screen. I'll be very surprised, if David Thewliss isn't playing Ares, disguised as or manipulating historical General Ludendorff [sp?], and that should be spectacular. Allan Heinberg wrote a very accessible WW, and that should also do well for a movie.
