She was awful in Young Avengers. Like it really made me dislike the character. She's such a stereotype of "fiery latina" but comes off as just mean. To me the whole thing symbolised the need for there to be more/better hispanic characters in comics because Ms America showed how badly that is being handled. I'm sure Ewing can do a better job with her in Ultimates, but I'm still hard pressed in liking the character as the YA run really soured me on her.

Cyborg is a Leaguer forever, not a Titan"There are two main times when comic book fans gripe: When something changes and when something stays the same."
I will say they really didn't do much beyond scratch the surface with the YA run with Miss America, I felt even in Vengence where she was also glossed over to a degree, she at least got the moment where they zoomed in on her face showing despite saying she was fine how much a mid air battle took out of her and a section where her determination is shown coming to the forefront in a impossible scenario. That being said, I agree it doesn't feel as 'earned' given the short time Casey and Dragotta actually spent with the character despite creating her but we will see what they do with it besides trying to cash in on her recent popularity rise.
I wonder if Marvel is trying to stop the book from getting published by publishing their own America Chavez ongoing next year.
What ever happened to this? I would have liked to have read a solo comic about this character, that isn't terrible.
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!
