... So, was this mini-series ever even finished? I'm loathe to even start picking up back issues if the complete story isn't even available.

After issue #8 in 2008, a one-shot called The Twelve: Spearhead written and drawn by Chris Weston came out in 2010 with a story set back in WWII just before the group got together. Then, issues #9 - #12 (written by Straczynski and art by Weston) came out towards the middle of 2012.

I believe you can even get a tpb collection of it these days.

Agreed. I would love to see more. And if J. Michael Straczynski did more with it, that would be god like.

In comics, only thing I'm aware of is the Superman Earth One Series of OGN. Volume 3 has already been announced. Maybe he is doing something else I haven't heard about (or that slipped my mind).

    Peace

Man, I forgot Earth One was still a thing.
Wish he was putting out more work.

The Twelve 2008 was good I would put it up there or class it with The Watchman.. Do you think Dick Jones change his name to Fiery Phantom??

I know this page was more symbolic in what he was saying, but I kind of like Fire and Shadow.
Makes them almost like a golden age Cloak and Dagger.
