It's always a terrific month when you've got Usagi and Hellboy to look forward to.
Getting Tarzan/POTA, Predator vs Dredd vs Aliens, Conan and maybe Muhammad Ali HC.
- Pull: Black Hammer, Dept H, Harrow County (7.3k w/ #10)
- Trade Wait: Briggs Land, Lady Killer (price increase w/ #2), Mae
Getting when they come out:
Conan the Slayer #4
Getting when I can later, possibly years from now, alas:
The EC Archives: Crime SuspenStories Volume 2 HC
Creepy Archives Volume 25 HC
Astro Boy Omnibus Volume 6 TP
Tarzan on the Planet of the Apes #1-5 (of 5)
Desperately hoping it gets collected, because I want just this one story, not the anthology:
Dark Horse Presents #27 (for Once and Future Tarzan)
Conan Omnibus Volume 1: Birth of the Legend TP
Kurt Busiek (W), Cary Nord (P)
Any opinions on this?
I definitely enjoy old school Marvel Conan and the Truman/Giorello King Conan. Besides King Conan I’m not familiar with Dark Horse’s original material.
That Mass Effect Omnibus could seriously tempt me. I've not read any of it before though. Does anyone have an opinion on how good Mass Effect has been?
Pull List: Daredevil, Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, No One, Time Before Time
“We never lose our demons. We only learn to live above them"
What happened to "Groo: Fray of the Gods" being a TWELVE issue series? #4 is now suddenly the final issue, it seems.
Well, something happened behind the scenes and I'm not sure if the delay comes from Brian Wood or the artist Tristan Jones' side, but Aliens: Defiance has run into some delays. It's actually pretty rare to see these kinds of delays come from a Dark Horse book so I know something had to have happened for them to restructure the release dates. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to knowing what the dates are of releases for books I read, so when I looked at my weekly release date update list and saw that issue's 3, 4, 5, and 6 hit delays, I wasn't all that surprised to see that they weren't soliciting for October. I'm not even sure if it's going to be the same artist working on the unreleased books or what. I haven't seen or found anything about the book online. Right now the new release dates for the currently solicited issues are after issue 2 came out May 25.....
Issue 3 - August 17
Issue 4 - August 31
Issue 5 - September 14
Issue 6 - September 28
This was also solicited as an ongoing monthly, but I'm starting to wonder now actually. Dark Horse hasn't had a regular monthly Aliens or Predator book for that matter in many years. They've all been mini-series. I was pleasantly surprised when it was announced that Aliens: Defiance would be an ongoing monthly, but who knows now. If it's not on there in next month's November solicits, then I guess we'll know then.

At this point I'm thinking:
Black Hammer #4
DHP #27
Hellboy/BPRD 1954: Black Sun #2
Mae #6
Tomb Raider #9
I'll probably trade-wait Lady Killer and Spell on Wheels
Pull List: The Black Hammer, Bitch Planet, Copperhead, Hellboy/BPRD, Monstress, Ms. Marvel, Southern Cross

Might buy Blade of the Immortal Omnibus Volume 1 TP, as 20 bucks is not a bad price at all for three complete manga volumes. I'd wait for the third omnibus to come out though and buy them with Barnes and Nobles' buy 2 get 1 free manga deal.
Still waiting for the Legend of Korra comic and volumes 4 and 5 of Drifters.
Top 10 Favorite Comics as of September 2019

Black Hammer and Dept H for me.
