Frank Quitely manages to put a lot of detail into his art without ever making it seem cluttered or hard to follow.
You can't mention George Perez without bringing up Phil Jiminez.
Of course, more lines don't always make for better art. Jaime Hernandez or Darwyn Cooke on their worst days are infinitely better than, say, Rob Liefeld at his best.

I remember reading an interview with George Perez where he was talking about how Barry Smith influenced his art. He said that Barry said something to the effect of, "If you draw a broken vase, always draw more debris than could have realistically come from that vase."
