WATCH: Marvel Debuts First "Luke Cage" Footage

Needs to be renewed for at least six more seasons.
Set up the character to appear in future MCU films. He can be a future leader of the Avengers.
If Cage's father is dealt with at all, let Carl Weathers play him.

At this point, I have serious doubts that any of the Netflix characters will appear in any of the movies.

Comics Luke Cage set out to use his powers for profit, not heroism, origianlly.

Incorrect. He was given money for his deeds and he just gave it to other people.

Hero for Hire was just created so people can come to him and ask for help.

Felt more like convincing him he has the strength of character to be a hero, to me. Casting away his self-doubt, in a sense.

And that's not Cage. Cage is a dude that will just go forward and not stop until he is done.
He is basically black captain america.

He hasn't always been like that. Not by a long shot. This is in keeping with the early characterization of the character--pre-Power Man--when he was hiding out from the law and didn't necessarily jump at the chance to get mixed up in other people's business out of the goodness of his heart.

The first thing he did is get a super hero costume and start busting up the place. And that lead to people to ask him for help.

Does Disney own Shimmy Shimmy Ya? Because they used it in Fresh Off the Boat too. Kind of wish the trailer started with Luke Cage standing there like Ol' Dirty Bastard does in the video.

The Cap movies are hands down the best of Marvel's feature output (even with Civil War being somewhat of a come down from Winter Soldier).

The Captain America movies have been the least interesting movies Marvel has been doing lately. The best was the first, now they're just half-assed Jason Bourne movies that don't really succeed at anything they're doing, and they sure don't do there Jasom Bourne thing anywhere near as good as the Bourne movies. Civil War was better than The Winter Soldier too, at least in Civil War they pull off some of the things they're trying to do, and at least there's one action scene there in these action movies that good. It's kind of spectacular Marvel has went this kind of army action guy direction with Captain America and still somehow manages to make some of the more boring versions of this we've had in the past ten years.

He helped someone (and even that happened mostly by happenstance at first), they offered him money as a reward, and he got the idea to start charging people for his help. Eventually, he started helping people just to help people as a given, but it wasn't what he started out doing.

When it come to Hero for Hire he only kept cash to cover damages.
