He was how he was pre-Hulk, just a normal teenager. Apparently the contest that earned him his Mastermind Excello name never happened as he didn't claim to be a genius... but he was still one really, he managed to send out a signal intended for the Avengers of Earth-616, though it was picked up by Mad Thinker instead.

Their in Tanzania, Africa right now in the current issue and in issue #23 next week. They were helping a village build a new hi-tech water filtration system when Viv and Amka got attacked by Man-Thing at the end of the issue.

I curious on how long this momentum will keep up.

The issues are fantastic no doubt and I'm sure is causing former readers to come back and doubters to give it a try. But remember the first three issues was a introduction/first appearance of Snowguard. And 22 was the introduction of Ironheart's new armor and Amadeus new look and codename. Issues that act as first appearances of stuff usually gets a sales bump thanks to collectors, but hopefully it's not the main reason for the second printing streak the series is on now.

I can't wait for issue #24 since it focuses on Miles and the three part Weirdworld arc starting with #25 looks like it's going down as a must read. Also since it's an oversized #25 issue there's a good chance that will sell out it's first printings as well.

Ah, okay. Thanks then. (Pre-Hulk Amadeus was pretty stuck-up and self-centered, even more than post-Hulk Amadeus, so I wondered if that was relevant to this AU.)

I see Sam's cast credit still calls him Nova, even though it shows him in his civilian form. Riri and Amadeus are updated as well.

And we clearly saw in this issue that despite Viv's claims that she shut off her emotions, it didn't entirely worked out.
