Here’s a secret for you - There will be a Champions Annual in December 2018 and a crossover with an event part way through 2019!

Does Marvel can ask you to change the casting of the Champions, or are you the only one to decide ? Have got your a list of potentials candidates to join the team ?

So far I’ve been the one to decide who is on the team, though editorial has made suggestions and some characters I’ve asked about have been tied up in other things.

I can think of a couple of reasons. One, Hercules gets involved and calls Amadeus in. Two, a repowered Jane asks her old Avengers teammates for assistance - i.e. Kamala, Miles, Sam, and Nadia. Or three, Midgard invaded, all heroes get involved.

Really the most positive surprise is Zub is also writing it, which it makes more likely the annual will actually be important and worth reading (compared to most annual's these days).

It'll probably be the repercussions from Weirdworld, as I'm guessing it'll be released after #27. Perhaps involving Sam getting new powers?

Probably due to the general prestige a title carries for lasting long enough and being considered "worth it" enough to have an Annual.
