I'm assuming Viv is likely to end up with the Red Locust/Fernanda unless Eve Ewing decides to establish that Riri is interested in the same sex.

It's just Locust now, but yeah, it'd make sense.

I really liked last issue and that final page, damn.

    spoilers:
I feel really bad for Viv and Sparky
    end of spoilers

Can't wait for the relaunch and I'm intrigued for the annual with Amka.

Zub has struck me as someone who makes sure everything jives with what's going on with another character's writer/solo book, so I imagine any developments he has in mind with Riri are in-line with what her solo writer is also planning.

(BTW I love your new avatar ).

Thanks, a lot of the concept art around Into the Spiderverse has just been beautiful.

Yeah I've noticed that with Zub as well. Seems like the current creative teams are more on the same page.

    Zub interview:

Phil Noto has drawn connecting decade variants. The center panel showcasing the 2010s includes five of the Champions (Kamala, Miles, Sam, Nadia, and Riri) and two of the West Coast Avengers (Gwenpool and America) along with a few other heroes. Champions #1 will have one of these nine covers, I assume it'll be that one.

As stellar as ever Mr. Noto .

(Miles and Carol get center billing, huh).

Miles is in the front. Make sense, would not be any of the other kids without him.

No Sam Cap in the 2010's or Falcon in the 70's? No Boom-Boom in the 90's? Straight into the T-T-T-Trash. Sorry, Phil. You know I love you, boo.

Of course it's good, this isn't by some fill-in writer, it's by Zub and that consultant they used for the Northern Lights arc. Makes a nice change to have an annual done by the regular monthly writer.

    Soooorta.

It is what many cultures have historically done. Though they're often more for show in the modern age than anything else, and a way of keeping traditions alive.
