    Love that Mike decided the painting thing wasn't for him.
    "He added that his venture into painting would not continue as a full-time effort, as after crafting a few pieces, he decided that was not something he enjoyed.

    "...he’s writing one or two Hellboy related works, and contributing some covers."

    Maybe my basic understanding of events is off (correct me if I'm wrong) but did he basically end Hellboy to go do other stuff and then decided he didn't want to go do the other stuff after all? I thought Hellboy in Hell was it? I mean, I guess I didn't really believe that completely.

    No, he just wanted to pursue another interest for a while, so he decided to take a year off of comics. (Sort of... I mean, he's still writing.) He always intended to return (though not necessarily to Hellboy).
