But keep thinking they're super-edgy and stuff, if that makes you happy. Whedon has done almost nothing that isn't at home on broadcast television, because, well, he's worked quite a bit in broadcast television and appropriate-for-tweens-and-up entertainment. Miike managed to have his episode of a Showtime horror showcase pulled from showing because it was too messed up for them to comfortably show late at night on Showtime. (Yet, he's also done family and child-friendly movies, which are very good.) That's a different level.
While that Showtime thing did happen, it also just kind of felt like bullshit to market the DVD: Buy the episode that was too shocking for even Showtime to air...the network that was still mostly known for softcore porno.

And Pan's Labyrinth is kind of a hard R.

I know this is like a wish list thread, but Tony Scott has been dead for almost two years now.

O Russell on a DAREDEVIL picture would be real rad.

Also I've been pretty warm to the idea of Ben Affleck writing/directing and starring in BATMAN.
