Johns, Goyer and Robinson on JSA

    Morrison and Porter on JLA.

    Ostrander and Mandrake on Spectre

Just three? That's impossible for me to do. At least give me ten and I might be able to.

The run of Gerard Jones on Green Lantern is my favorite. It produced Emerald Dawn, Emerald Dawn 2, The Road Back, Mosaic, and Guy Gardner Reborn. And IMO the funniest comics story ever, A Guy and His G'Nort. The man is tragically underappreciated.

John Broome's run on Detective Comics was great.

Mike Grell had a fine tenure on Green Arrow.

    -DeMatteis/Giffen/Maguire/Sears on JLI/JLE. What's wrong with funny?
-Ostrander/Mandrake on Martian Manhunter. An underrated run.
-Moore/Veitch/Bissette/Totleben on Swamp Thing. An important comic series.

    Now for arcs:
-Miller/Mazzucchelli's 4 issue run on Batman. That Year One arc is a classic.
-Waid/Larocque's The Return of Barry Allen. The story that made me love Wally West.

    Honourable mentions:
-Thomas/Ordway on All Star Squadron. I became huge Golden Age fan because of them.
-Geoff Johns on The Flash. He made me care about Captain Cold.
-Geoff Johns on Green Lantern. He took a couple of ideas from Alan Moore and ran with them.

Presuming "run" is defined by...2+ years? And for DCU...

    Top 3 DCU runs:
    1. Doom Patrol by Grant Morrison & various artists
    2. Wonder Woman by Brian Azzarello & Cliff Chiang and Goran Sudzuka
    3. Swamp Thing by Alan Moore & various artists

I really need to read Gaiman's Vertigo run
Comics were definitely happier, breezier and more confident in their own strengths before Hollywood and the Internet turned the business of writing superhero stories into the production of low budget storyboards or, worse, into conformist, fruitless attempts to impress or entertain a small group of people who appear to hate comics and their creators. -- Grant Morrison, 2008

trade-waiting - Ice Cream Man, Monstress

backlog - Blade of the Immortal, Mignolaverse, Promethea, X-Cutioner's Song
