I think Garnet's quick enough to keep the RWBY girls occupied with A.O.E. while Pearl and Amethyst form Opal. Between that bow and Garnet's attacks, I think they can make a good run of it.

The RBWY girls are all bullet timers, right?
Only Garnet is remotely close to that and she's not got the feats for bullet timer status.
Gems are mad durable though so they might be able to weather a blitz.

I infinitely prefer the Gems and think they should be used in more rumbles, but I don't think that have much about here.
