It was a great episode. One that really highlighted just how great an actress Skylar Samuels can be. This show stuck fairly closely to the comic origins of the Stepford Sisters, right down to losing two of them. It was a powerful moment in the show, one of the best to date for Season 2.

We didn’t start off as triplets. During our exercises they kept two of us locked up as leverage. Celeste and Mindee had to stay back that day. When we decided to escape, we thought we could save everyone. We were wrong. Mindee and Celeste, we couldn’t get them out. We never told anyone that story before, not even Reeva. I felt death. I was a part of my sisters when they died. I felt the pain, and the terror, like it was happening to me. And I would do anything, anything to protect your daughter from that.
Ok Flashback 8 years ago (2010)
Stepford Cuckoos have 13 years old
Then were created/were born in 1997?
It makes sense from a long form storytelling perspective where the Cuckoos are some of the main characters, as opposed to tertiary ones in the comics, to keep the "BIG" personalities around like Esme and Sophie over Celeste and Mindee.
Still don't think Phoebe, the most blah of the five, needed to survive over Celeste and Mindee though. Even if she balances out the personalities of the Three-In-One.
