I'm afraid this artist still hasn't won me over. Compositionally, the pieces are very nicely rendered and her version of Diana's costume comes the closest to the movie version right now. I'm just tired of the same half-lidded, mouth breathing facial "expression" she always gives her. Plus her images lack energy. They are not dynamic in any way - it's almost as if some sleepy cosplayer staged a few shots and ran them through an instagram filter.
Boring.
That nose! She's been worshiping Dionysus again...
Checking back in on this thread, I see a great deal of my initial concerns regarding Frison's style still stand ...
" there is a languid quality here -the heavily lidded eyes of the first image - sleepily diverting her gaze from engaging the view with lips slightly parted as if in *sigh*, the overall lack of musculature (with light exceptions, most notably the pronounced shoulders in the first image) and willowy quality to her limbs, even her passively posed stance. These elements combine to give off a feeling of lack of agency by our Amazonian protagonist."
...and certain elements of the variants have gotten worse. The poses and compositions have gotten more static and lacking in presence or personality. It seems that the artist has run out of ideas for depicting Diana. And while someone else suggested Cara Delevigne as the model for the artwork, I see much more Jennifer Connelly.

I like this Frisson & the Merino, but the Grell cover looks like the work of a talented amateur rather than...well...the artistic legend that Grell is.
I do wish we could retire or re-name this thread. Unless Frisson is being replaced as the Wonder Woman variant cover artist, the title of this thread is really not meaning what it's suppose to mean any longer.

Are there any of the variant artist you would like to see on Wonder Woman?
Stephanie Hans would be great. Phil Jimenez is always welcome. Rather than one consistent artist, I would much rather the alternative covers be different artists, make them truly worth tracking down more than just one person's consistent vision. Say for a year's worth of issues all female artists...Stephanie Hans, Colleen Doran, Joelle Jones, Trina Robbins...just to name a few off the top of my head.
