    So that's:

    Tom King
    Tim Seeley
    Steve Orlando
    Peter Tomasi
    Scott Snyder
    Dan Abnett
    Amanda Conner
    James Tynion (?)

Some great signings. Good to lock them down while they're producing good work.

DC is indeed acquiring some top notch talent. I hope they continue to produce quality work for years to come.

Good for Mr. Seeley and DC ! That would explain why the Blade comic over at Marvel has been delayed ...

Considering the current state of Marvel, I don't think that's a concern

Nice! Is this why my Lifespanners pre-orders were canceled? Maybe this will move to Vertigo.
If Effigy could be resurrected that would be awesome.

This is a great grab. I think the only thing Seeley has at another company is Revival, but if I recall correctly, that's ending soon.

Most of these "exclusive deals" don't include creator-owned work. It's basically just about Marvel and DC. And it's pretty silly, but that's just my opinion.

Not for the creator. When they sign these deals, they get guaranteed work, more work, and higher profile work which is crucial if you are working for hire in any art industry really...

But yeah, from fans' perspective I agree with you

Tom King is the only real "grab" since he was doing the Vision book. Abnett has been bouncing back and fourth for years and Guardians Of Infinity was on the verge of cancellation from the gate.
