    Default Personal Comic Preferences?

Which do you personally prefer to collect, the single comic book or the graphic novel with a collection of stories? and why?

I lost my collection a few years back, and want to start rebuilding. I'm leaning more towards the book cause I love how neat and orderly they are, but I think I'll be buying single versions of my favorite prints.

I think overall I like getting the paperbacks and graphic novels more then the single issues. I still buy single issues mostly but when I want to travel or want to start collecting older stories graphic novels are much more accessible.

I used to collect single issues but the monthly wait for the next issue makes someone like me forget what has happened, especially if you are reading several different titles.

Trades are easier to keep track of and take up far less space. Although the wait for them to get released is hard to stay away from spoilers if it is a major story....

Generally speaking, I prefer buying the singles for current series I'm following and trades for older stories I want to read.

Trades are nice for bookshelves and travelling but I prefer singles in general. It's what I originally fell in love with, after all.

I'm only able to buy comics on an irregular basis these days, so it's collections all the way for me.

TPBs all the way for me. They're cheaper, tougher, smarter, no adverts. Generally better in every way.

Nowadays I buy the singles and then the hardcover collection when/if it's released. I'm far too impatient to strictly wait for trades.
