It's not? Is there actually some standard metric for that sort of thing? Because, based on nothing other than general impression, "Jim Hammond" sounds like a "manlier" name than "Clay Quartermain" to me.
"Jim" is a manly name, maybe not his last name. I was refering to Quartermain as "manly" cause of the great explorer with the same name from the novels. (Clay even mentioned in Hulk that he's a descendant of him)

Clay Quartermain sounds like a prep school/frat boy/trust fund name. Jim Hammond sounds like a guy who might tend bar and work the door in a neighborhood dive, or drive a forklift.
