well infinity will definitely have a role to play in this but we don't know yet what will be her role. Is she being held prisoner similarly or is she the jailer although it seems unlikely but after eternity acting against death his fellow sibling in the deadpool vs Thanos miniseries it is not totally so.

I'm guessing someone new, as well. The regular 'cosmic' players (Celestials, Molecule Man, Living Tribunal, In-Betweener, Master Order, Lord Chaos, Stranger, Shaper of Worlds, Kubik, Death) don't seem to fit the mold.

Out of this list, unless working in a group the only one with enough power to chain Eternity would be the Living Tribunal.

My first instinct way back in issue one was that this volume would slowly transform into a search for Reed Richards via other means. So I am not surprised that the plot is slowly pointing towards a mystery that is clearly related to secrets at the heart of the rebooted multiverse.

As a side thought, I remain convinced that the rules for time have changed, and just possibly this ties into the deep background of the Civil War II plot. A superpower like that of Ulysses may only be possible in a more rigorously deterministic universe as put together by the Richards family.

I wonder who will ultimately solve this mystery galactus and his heralds or the ultimates or more likely everyone will have to work together although given eternity edict saying mortals unable to perceive the truth without being overwhelmed and their inability to survive in the omniverse I don't see how the ultimates will assist. maybe they will have to travel back in time to find the cause or persons responsible

Ewing did write that time works very differently now...dont have the book in front of me but its something like the present being fixed and moving along while various events chase/lead it like planets following the sun thru the cosmos...maybe someone can explain it better tho...this will definitely tie into the chaining of eternity
