Garth Ennis and Russ Braun explain how their "Hard-Travelin' Heroz" are unaffected by DC Comics' Rebirth -- whatever that is.

    I shall be buying this.

One interesting point from the interview is that Garth ran some thoughts past Alan Moore (because he's based the story partly on some of AM's Swamp Thing run)...and Alan was interested and made a couple of useful suggestions.

They met in the late 80s, about when Ennis was breaking in through Crisis. They've grown closer in the last few years by being studiomates at Avatar Press (also how Moore got to know Kieron Gillen and Si Spurrier).

BUT ALAN MOORE IS THE DEVIL AND HE RUINED EVERYTHING

Hmm... might check this out when it's finished. I liked All Star Section 8 but it felt like a story that would read better in trade than single issues. So I stopped reading it and decided to wait for the trade.

Such is my reluctance to part with money nowadays that I actually waited for comixology prices of All Star Section 8 to come down before buying complete run, and reading it in one sitting one winter's evening.

I actually thought at the time it probably would read okay as single issues...but it's something I almost never do now with modern comics, so probably world's worst judge of that. But mightily narked at the ending, I needed a stiff drink.

Section 8 definitely reads well in single issues since each one is pretty much a one-shot that develops same themes.
