Whatever you're eating, it should not be onions, specifically whole onions, red, white, or yellow. For the time being at least, it seems. Salmonella, it seems. The onions in question are all imported by one company from Mexico. If you have unlabled onions, or ones you're not sure of, toss them out.

Had our typical Sunday evening dinner: london broil, oven-roasted yukon gold potatoes, and peas.

I just tried their spicy chicken sandwich not too long ago. Really delicious, actually. I saw the commercial and I decided to try it. It got a pretty good rating on YT too, lol. I hope you enjoyed your films.

A random cooking show reminded me of how my mother used to make birthday cakes for me, chocolate with sour cream....vastly superior IMO to chocolate cake without sour cream mixed into it. I haven't had those since I was a kid, and totally forgot about them. But now I shall make one, come the weekend. Makes me wonder how I could forget that...but as soon as I was reminded of it's existence, I actually relived the taste...weird and very vivid. Funny how you remember tastes and smells from your childhood when you are an adult.

Also going to give making the best bread in the world, salt rising bread. You can't buy it in stores, (you can online), like you could when I was a kid. And it is a difficult bread to make, or so they say, but I shall try that out in a few weeks.

The best chicken sandwich I've ever had was from a small chain called Bruxies, which has savory waffles surrounding a great piece of chicken and a great chilli sauce and superb cole slaw. Sadly, the pandemic killed off the one nearest me...and there are only like two others.
