Done with DC. Can't handle the constant whiplash! Time to go on a hiatus!
Decent issue overall, will be interested in seeing where it goes. Also thought it was neat how this basically showed us what happened leading up to Ted & Jaimie's disscision in the DCU Rebirth Special.
There's a Time For Peace, and Then There's a Time To Punch Nazi Scumbags in the Face!!
I liked it a lot. Jaime and Ted's interactions were fun, and it feels way more like the old BB series than the new one. Almost to the point of feeling repetitive at times, but I'm sticking with it.
I do hope it's some trick or something about the magic Scarab origin. I know that kind of links back to the original Scarab with Garrett being magical but still... Trying to keep an open mind about it but the Reach seem so linked to Jaime that it's like saying that the Oan Power Ring isn't hyper advanced Guardian tech but rather magic. Will see how things go.
Yeah being popular sure did wonders for John Stewart, Wally West, Tim Drake and Cassandra Cain.Never gonna happen dude. Jaime is popular.
Wally, Tim & Cassandra account for 500 solo issues and yet one became pitch toxic and edited out of books, one got replace by a black kid and one got butchered in Teen Titans.
The other guy's fans got told your money is no longer welcome here.
Being popular means NOTHING if the folks in charge don't care.
As for the only can be one mess-that is DC MANAGEMENT edging that crap on.
It's DC that keeps forcing the issue-which will lead to the mess you keep seeing elsewhere with guys screaming they can't enjoy some guy named Steve or Peter because guys named Miles & Sam are around.
You should never have your fanbase so divided that it hurts your franchise.
At least this book is trying to mend something that shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Question:
How DID Jaime meet Ted?
I figure it must have been some time after the events in Threshold.

Loved this so much! I, too, wished there was a little less action and a little more character interaction, but as a first issue I couldn't have asked for more. Ted and Jaime's back-and-forth was terrific and I love the set-up and the art. Plus, the Bug is back!!
I loved every panel of this. Ted and Jaime's interactions were fun and I liked the set up.
