and it's an interesting statement given how many people don't stray far from what they know and just say eh I'll think about trade waiting that or I'll wait for reviews first and by the time reviews are coming out the book's fate has already been decided

that's how cruel the industry is it's all about who gets the most sales built up and if you don't get those strong pre-order numbers early on then it's just gonna become a struggle just for the book to stay alive
