I already have the Howard the Duck issues of Gen X. Have the classic TPB I bought for $6.00 on the way.

I think most of the series is pretty great. Lobdell is clearly the best, but Jay Farbarer is highly underrated. Larry Hama's run is a mess though. I was a huge fan of his Wolverine run, but this was a miss for him.
I was trying to do too much and not doing any of it as well as I could. But I've had a change of mind... though not everyone shall enjoy it. I will.

One thing in Generation X that has alwayed bugged the heck out of me back then was the whole Empath, M and Penance family thing going on.

Then the extra crap where M was actually twins or whatever.

Most dumb and confusing thing ever and I thought the whole Mondo good/bad guy thing was hard to understand back then.

To me, the comic went downhill when Ellis showed up. He was the wrong writer for this title. Gen X had always been sort of chirpy, and there was no reason to change the tone so dramatically.

Could not agree more. He took over X-Force at the same time, bringing both teams into that Counter-X era, and I checked out SO fast.

Literally when Larry Hama takes over. Storywise, shortly after M is revealed to be her twin sisters which happened after OZT

just now? Did you actually like the stuff with M-Plate, bc I found that absolutely dreadful. I actually thought the book started to get better leading into 50 as Hama's removal was an improvement

This was my first issue of the book. Unfortunately I got it just as it was about to go downhill

Oh and I hated Dodson's art. He was a major downgrade from Bachalo

Now on Issue #71. Poor Ev. He was a good character. I already know Angelo dies shortly after #75 and Jubilee wishes she would have got Naked with him. Lol. I like these guys.
