I wonder which one came first? Since Carmine Infantino's Batman cover is only 12 cents it has to be the 1960's. The Hulk Annual by Steranko has a 25 cent cover price so it has to be from around the same time. Before Kirby left Marvel for DC, the was a jump to 15 cents that started with FF #88.

    Huh. X-Men really loves this.

Here's the cover to 'Uncanny X-Men 401'. The issue itself isn't that hot, but I always liked the cover. It's the Banshee using his sonic wail to scatter the title.

    Then there's this classic:

Take my dreams, childish and weak at the seams
Please don't analyze, please just be there for me

What's really cool about this cover is that the first inside page is actually that page on the cover.

Two cool covers. I believe that classic issue is by Paul Smith.

No, it was the cover for the 8th issue of X-Men v4: http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/X-Men_Vol_4_8
