I would like to see him plot a story arc. He never was that good at scripting. I think he'd be great at plotting a 6 issue arc with some earth shattering stuff going on but status quo is back at the end of it all. That's all I ever wanted for him and he always delivered on that end.

The most fondly remembered Stan Lee stories were plotted by the artists he was working with.

I'd be happy with an issue or something.

He did some back-up stuff with Marcos Martin in the Brand New Day era (collected in the "Spidey Sunday Spectacular" one-shot) and it's interesting stuff, looking at the legacy of Spider-Man and all the stuff that's changed.
    Sincerely,

He's credited with it, but my understanding is that it's ghost-written by Roy Thomas.

The same way I'd feel about Romero doing another zombie movie.

It would be interesting, to say the least.

No thanks. His type of storytelling last I checked is still very much rooted back in his era. Which is fine for a nostalgia act, but to carry a modern series? Doubt it.

out of continuity one-shots, I guess. But not as far as ongoing arcs.

I doubt it would be. Has Stan Lee worked on any particularly interesting or memorable comic since Silver Surfer: Parable?

I've liked some of the little stories he's written/scripted since, but they've usually been short little nostalgia pieces, nothing mind blowing.

yeah, i'd be curious but more in the way of trying to find where on the barometer stan's creativity would sit these days. creatives don't always get better with age (in any industry), though some of that might just be changing vogues.

I think the reason for it taking so long to read was because everyone had to explain what they were doing or were going to do. Like a lot of monologue. But it's still a good read that introduced the best super hero ever and his awesome villains.

It'd be really weird, but I'd read it. Like other posters have mentioned though, Stan was really more of an editor than a writer, a guy who punched up other people's scripts and made them better, so I think he'd need to work with another writer or the artist.

I stopped collecting and reading Spidey, so nothing will change.
He did not improve his style to make his new work worth reading.
