The X-Books Board is wretched and does not deserve the Domino Appreciation Thread.
Thought this was connected to Totally Awesome Hulk's first story arc with all those monsters.
You know in all fairness I will say I actually like the concept, the MU having to put its stuff aside to team up and stop a force bigger themselves after everything that's happened. I'll also say that Cullen Bunn is a great writer and the artists are great to.
The problem is what everyone else has already talked about, Marvel shouldn't have it come out in January when CWII has been delayed to October and events like Clone Conspiracy and Inhumans vs X-men are starting. That's about 4 events being around each other at the same time which is way to much especially when brand new series will be starting around that time as well. It's just way to much at one time.
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
"The event reportedly 'harkens back' to earlier Marvel eras not just because of the classic monsters, but its format as well. While Alonso leaves the door open to "a few calculated choices to be finalized later", unlike past events, Monsters Unleased reportedly won't feature "that many" branded tie-in issues."
This looks good it nice to see dark hawk again I wonder what role wolverine played in the event the art looks good x men front and center I'm generally excited about this
I have to say, i'm kind of disappointed that this is only a mini, and not a regular series. But i suppose a regular series wouldn't last too long anyway.

Last Days of Magic had only one or two one-shots, it didn't feature any tie-ins that disrupted a title's story. I'd say this is more akin to Standoff. A few tie-ins and a mini-event. I'm not bothered by it, but I was expecting a new ongoing, so this anouncement came off as a dissapointing surprise to me.
I feel sorry for Moon Girl... how is she going to feel about Devil Dinosaur going wild?
I'll pass. I've been done with Marvel events for years, and while I love giant monsters, I can live without this.
Avatar: Here's to the late, great Steve Dillon. Best. Punisher. Artist. EVER!
