I just realized something, Star-lord's sister said the former emperor J'Son, I know some stuff went down in Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel but I don't remember him being removed from the throne.

Yeah, either he was dethroned after the people revolted at the end of Guardians #16 or something else is going on. Humphries did say a plot point from Bendis' new arc sets up his run.

Don't forget that in DnA's Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord became an old man who could be his own grandfather! Maybe something happened with him when he went back to his own universe so that's why he is now younger both in spiritually and physically and has got blonde hair!

To be fair that power used to come with being Star-Lord but people are saying that that version is from a different continuity.

To be fair that power used to come with being Star-Lord but people are saying that that version is from a different continuity.

Anything before Peter showed up at the Kyln is considerd by Marvel to be a seperate continuity. That Peter lived in a future earth timeline as the book itself lists. That said, his adventures for the most part still happened but he lost all his powers after his battle with the Fallen One.

No! His powers were always within the suit, which he lost after his battle with the Fallen One! Then he got that suit back with no explanation and no longer wears it with no explanation even tho it would help get him out of a lot of jams.

Really? I just flipped through all of my old Star-Lord mags and I didnt see it mention that his powers came from the suit. Only that the Master of the Sun made him a Star-Lord. Could be wrong though since I just skimmed them.

I love all the current GotG books... But how can you go from the dynamic, uniquely individual blue & yellow costume to the current generic one? Blue & yellow one was the best!
