That's cool, but needs more red elements -- maybe boots and gloves --- to mimic Cockrum's design.

I think Carol will probably be getting a new outfit when the film makers come up with something (hopefully) better than what she's been wearing in comics. Her current look is about as generic as it gets regarding super hero outfits. The blue, red and yellow has been done to death going back to the guy who started it all -- Superman. Basic red and black or black with red are the way to go -- keeping with the history of Captains Marvel.

I REALLY like A, C and D with some minor tweaks. Just make the leg designs a little less busy and we're good to go. Love the hair too. She should ALWAYS have flowing hair.

Going against popular opinion here but I prefer B from those 5.

    You are absolutely correct.
I myself made the mistake of thinking the All-New Ms. Marvel costume being black & gold while in thruth it is navy blue & gold.

Busiek and Pérez clearly showed this in the above panels of Avengers #4 May 1998 while introducing the BLACK & GOLD WARBIRD costume.

I really liked "A", but they needed to add the Starlin star to it, like so:

    E first then c

And I prefer her hair long, it allows a lot of dynamics on the page for the art work, which her sash would also allow but that's very dated I feel to return

Not a fan of her current look, a bit too space marine for me, but I guess that's deliberate

I always felt she should just be called Marvel, the cap bit I think sounds dated,

which for me is why it works with captain america given his origins,

    B > C > D > A.

    E can go away.

Thankfully Kelly Sue didn't like any of those and then gave us this beauty.

The current one is very similar, but I'm starting to miss this one lol.

    I agree with your rankings.

The McKelvie design is, of course, the best, for it is perfect and true. But sticking to just these 5.

B has good balance. It would definitely benefit from more colour, but the overall design is balanced very well. I also like the sash around her neck. It looks cool. Also, the bare arms, in the hands of the right artist, would work to highlight her physical strength.

C is a little more awkward, but the colours are good, and it's got accents in the right places.

D is a less-balanced version of B. Some of the connected accents are awkward and don't work well. I'm also inclined to think the blue is the wrong shade.

A isn't balanced properly. The slits in the boots are silly. It just doesn't work.

E is just bad. It's bad design. It doesn't work, at all.

But I still think McKelvie's design is the best.
