My thoughts on the 4 main characters DC updated for the Silver Age:

1. Flash - Jay to Barry. Same powers. Barry > Jay. Reason: Better costume & secret ID.

2. Green Lantern - Alan to Hal. Similar powers. Alan = Hal. Reason: Hal had better costume/origin but I felt Alan was more likeable.

3. Hawkman - Carter to Katar. Almost identical except one was reincarnated/one was an alien cop. Carter > Katar. Reason: Katar was just another alien whereas Carter had a unique origin.

4. Atom - Al to Ray. Biggest change. Powers drastically different. Ray >>> Al. Reason: Ray's powers were so much cooler than Al's.
