Remember when comic book fans wanted a book just to entertain ,and not make a political statement?
And Wonder Woman has to announce she is a feminist out loud?
Jesus, no wonder people are afraid to write Wonder Woman, look the ****storm that a natural and reasonable comment made.
"It is the dawn that brings the pain, the night that brings the dream."
"Come find me when you wake up."
On the bright side, at least Finch didn't compare the series to "Twilight."
How on earth is that a clarification?
Well..this got a fast response. I can see what Finch was trying to say and do but it just got worded in a awkward manner.
What a truly baffling clarification.
He's taking the stance that being a feminist is somehow mutually exclusive with the idea of being human and fallible. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and just go with the idea that Finch is truly clueless about issues of this nature, but that just begs the question as to why DC thinks he's qualified to have any input on this book whatsoever.
Let's not even get into what a non-apology this is. It's the classic first mistake, he's not apologizing for saying something stupid. He's apologizing that *WE* took it the wrong way.

The fact that Finch had to apologize for this comment is really sad. What's wrong with wanting to portray Wonder Woman as a real, fallible character? Does she HAVE to be a feminist? Why is that label even necessary? Maybe I'm missing something.

Wait....Am I supposed to take from this that being a feminist is somehow incompatible with being a faillible human being?

Why?
Nothing. But that's not what people are complaining about. What's wrong with wanting to portray Wonder Woman as a real, fallible character?
Does Superman have to be an alien?Does she HAVE to be a feminist? Why is that label even necessary?
Might be.Maybe I'm missing something.
Isn't Wonder Woman officially a feminist? How can she not be what she already is? Also, apparently feminists aren't humans.
Cyclops was right
Well, yes. Obviously.
Unless you think what's written below doesn't sound like Wonder Woman at all.
"Feminism is a collection of movements and ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending a state of equal political, economic, cultural, and social rights for women. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment. A feminist advocates or supports the rights and equality of women."
