Congrats Tami, an epic win!
Thanks for my 3 votes.... So close this week I could literally smell it..... It smelled like...... Victory.....
One day..... ;-)
We're all the Doom Patrol!!!
Opinions come in all shapes and sizes.
But they're still just opinions yo
Congratulations, Tami, for a forward thinking, yet somehow provocative cover. Oh, heck, yes there were hot women.
And now, what have I learned this week? Attractive women can help a cover win, but they need to be part of the theme.
Oh, she did pretty well for herself fighting in that attire back in the day--check out some more great Blonde Phantom covers

Way to go Tami, though I am surprised I didn't get one vote. Oh well, such is life.
Thanks. I've filled my quota of wins, so I hope others get a chance to win.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
Interesting observation.
To be fair there was allot of wiggle-room with this entry. the OP's line drawn between no costumes just masks was pretty vague to begin with.
The suggestion was heroes "JUST wearing a mask, no 'costume.' Cape is okay. Just no spandex or armor."
She's not adding spandex or armor, but switching clothes and adding a mask.
The OP's own sample as well as a mask and cape The Spider adds a crazy fright wig, and fake fangs, which is pretty much at that point a costume.
All in good fun!
