Default How is Gaia related to the Sphere of the Gods and Godly Pantheons ??

If you've seen the awesome illustration of the DC multiverse, you'll know that the is a "higher plane" of existence beyond the multiverse of 52 realities called the Sphere of the Gods. There are 8 realms in this plane, one of which is called Skyland in which the various Godly pantheons of Earth reside in different areas, Greeks in Olympus, Norse in Asgard etc.

In itself that seems pretty straightforward but the implication is that all immortals / gods originated from this plane, and yet at the same time all of the pantheons are directly related to Gaia - the primordial Earth goddess. Gaia herself is the great Earth mother - so even believe she is the Earth itself.

So did she too come from Skyland as well? If she is a higher being in this reality how did she have offspring that are supposed to have originated from another reality? These points directly contradict each other.

The Titans of Greek Myth are said to have been children of hers who in turn sired the Greek Gods, however all the various pantheons of Gods are supposed to be different tribes of the same species who divided up the Earth into different domains, how can this have been if only one of the pantheons came from descending from Gaia? Plus if the gods all live in Skyland, why do they have any involvement in Earth at all, and if they can travel to this reality, why would they all choose to inhabit the same planet when there is an entire Universe for them to rule over?

I know in regular real life Myths they all have their own Earth Mother whom is all supposed to be Gaia in their own versions of her, but then they all have their own separate conflicting origin myths which all explain the world beginning in different ways, however the comics makes it all so much more complicated, and they all supposedly come from this other plane and yet they all still supposedly have the real life origin myths which couldn't all have really taken place.

Can anyone clear this up for me?

Interesting question! At the moment, I have no ideas.
